A few days before my cousin's wedding in October, I had a dream that I saw my grandpa dressed up in his suit ready for the wedding to start. I gave him a big hug and asked him how he was. She looked to be about 30 (73 when she died), she was beautiful (she was in real life movie star beautiful), and she literally glowed with health and happiness. Not everyone has this gift to physically see your loved ones, but they are still with you. What Matt says about a spirit reaching a family through someone else is true. I had an old theatre teacher who appeared to me in a dream a while after he died, showing me a town by the sea in California, where he went with a blond woman (not me). I really respected him but didn’t know him well. I spoke with a mutual friend who did know him well. It turned out to be a message for his wife…They used to go to Mendocino, which was their special place. Sometimes a spirit will contact the person whose antenna is up and maybe they plan how the message gets to the intended.

I'm a medium & I've gotten messages for total strangers, even from a total stranger for a famous person once which was super weird, I don't know him & live on the other side of the States!! Both my mother and my mother in law had their loved ones come through in dreams but they recall that it felt very real, not like a dream at all. I’ve never experienced this, unfortunately. Right after my dad passed and I went to his funeral, a song I hadn’t heard in years (that my dad introduced me to) was playing - it was the only song I had time to listen to, and I immediately knew it was him. I work with tarot cards and receive messages there all the time but I’ve never received dream visitations. I wish I could experience that. Perhaps I don’t need a message. Matt.... The first week of October celebrates the "Feast of Saint Francis"...Patron Saint of animals. Our local Church offers their program "The Blessings of animals". I take my cat every year for that Blessing. Every kind of animal is brought to the event. Donkeys, goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, snakes, ducks...etc. Despite the fact I keep my cat zipped in his carrier, the noise, and commotion still freaks him out. He's pretty much a scardy cat. A few years ago... My cat was acting funny. He would jump up on an antique table my late father had gifted me some 40 years ago. My cat would sit on his hind legs, and paw at the air. Sometimes he would just stare at nothing, sometimes he would meow and talk. There were times when this happened, I could smell my dad's cigarette smoke....I was sure it was my dad playing with my cat....at least I was hoping it was. A couple of nights before the Church Blessing, I was awakened by a "thud"....I lifted my head from my pillow, and saw all the cat toys spewed across the floor...I nearly ran out of my home. Anyways... I took my cat to the "Blessing", and of all things,..they had a psychic medium there to do animal readings. I placed the cat carrier on her table, and paid the $25.00 fee. The psychic asked me to come around her side of the table...she wanted me to step away from the carrier.... I explained that my cat was already freaked out from the commotion, but that I could take a few steps away...I did so. She began to read my cat. "He says he has a pet squirrel..." "Yes, he does.." "He likes James...who is James"? "He's my brother...he's outside with the goats..."? Then she says "your grandfather is here..." I told her I never met either of my grandfather's. She said "his name is Papa..." I was surprised and said "No, that's my dad. His nickname was Papa..." "Well....he comes to visit and plays with your cat...near the table..." I was so relieved to hear her say that... "Yes...he plays there a lot..." After a moment, the psychic says.. "I'm sorry, I can't do this....there's an older woman here standing to your right. She's says she your mom..." My mom had just recently passed. Anyways....the rest of the reading came from my mom and dad...they had pushed my cat aside and took over the reading. Not sure I got my monies worth on that reading, as it was supposed to be for my cat....lol.

It is understandable that you may want to hear from your mom or dad or immediate family member, but instead you get a friend's sibling or an estranged father-in-law or none one at all. But it is a miracle if anyone comes through because 1. it would prove the existence of a spirit world and 2. give you a divine opportunity to send a healing message to someone else and 3. You know that the ones you love are still with you in spirit and are currently at peace. The souls on the other side are one cosmic family, a hivemind (they can see our thoughts and beyond the human separation illusion), therefore even if the person is unrelated or more distant, they are still part of your grander family, hence why they want the connection. And that's really amazing when you think about it.

My sister died last Sunday morning at 66 .. diagnosed 2 months earlier and told she has 6 to 8 weeks to live ..it's been horrendous and we were hoping for longer as she thought too seeing as she was told that if she has the liver fluid draining procedures she will have 7 to 9 months ,but suddenly Sunday after a night of congestion in the throat and the nurse came to inject her to release it,20 mins after she took her last breath ,god it's so heartbreaking never getting the chance to say goodbye and telling her instead when she asked me ,what else do they need to do ? Long story short.. My friend's two sisters and a neice and nephew were killed in a tragic car accident back in 1997. I thought in my mind at the funeral that I would help watch out for one sisters twins but as time went on I lost track of them and soon her husband remarried. Fast forward to 2014 I had been having a strong overwhelming feeling like I needed to tell her twins how much their Mom loved them! Over the years I felt like I needed to tell her son's this but I wasn't in contact with my friend. One day at work I see a familiar name on the mailbox in our office. I knew immediately it was one of the twins. After a couple of weeks he finally showed up because he got hired on the job. I knew it was my opportunity to give him the information from his mom that had been overwhelming me for years! So the first day I saw him I knew he didn't know who I was but I had to tell him I knew who he was. After a few months I never told him about how that I had a message from his mom but in a casual way I said, " Your mom really loves you!!" I said when you spend time with your Mom's family you are spending time with your mom! He just looked at me and didn't respond but I knew my job was done and the overwhelming feeling was finally gone! I was able to attend his wedding and hold his firstborn child and reunite with his Aunt who was my friend in the past! After three years of working with me he left and changed jobs I am no longer in contact with him. I still get goose bumps when I look back on all of this!

I noticed that this video seemed to kind of answer some of my questions. I have experienced more of the world beyond quite by accident after being somewhat connected when I was younger. I survived cardiac arrest during a period where I was sick with cancer. I lost a friend to suicide when I was quite young and sealed myself off from feeling anything more. My fiance, who is very sensitive, helped me have that connection I needed to heal and acted as a bridge because I was not open at the time. I go back to visit my friend because I made a promise I would come visit and tell him about my adventures being a counselor to the living and everything I am working towards. I sat at the graveside and actually felt his presence there, with shivers down my back, a feeling of extreme excitement after I told him about some of the individuals I felt were successful, and just a openness to warmth and what felt like love. I felt numb or calm walking in; the spikes of emotion were unfamiliar to me and did not feel like mine. I have begun to feel things outside of this moment in other places with others who are grieving lost loved ones who have passed. Certain things seem to come naturally to me and others I am questioning. I know I am sensitive in some ways, but I am still not quite sure. Can you actually describe how it feels for you to receive a visit from a spirit you know or don't know? I feel like in many cases there was someone I was not familiar with giving me words to tell certain people or I felt emotions/sensations that were just not mine at the time and responded to them as I would if I were them. How do you explain this to someone that has always both questioned and had deep faith? And how do you block the darker things that can also take advantage of that brightness you/we/I give off? I am always curious to test my ability, but I want to stay safe and not risk harm to myself or others. Are there definitive things you can look for that help you differentiate your own intuition with those of a spirit? Sorry, long post. Hope you can answer these things for me!

Yes, Matt, I completely agree with you. Thank you for giving us your insight into this. It’s so wonderful when our loved ones can reach out to us. I saw my late husband right after I buried him. I saw him walking downstairs from Heaven, he was smiling as he was walking towards me. I was so stunned, I was amazed to see him. When he got close to me, I said, “ I just buried you.” Then puff, he suddenly disappeared. Prior to his death, one of his legs had to be amputated because it had become gangrene. He had an aneurysm inside his heart that could not be operated on. When they removed his leg they used a epidural from the waist down. The doctor’s knew of the aneurysm, and knew that any significant trauma to his body would cause the heart to basically explode. Death is eminent. It’s only a matter of time. My husband and I never spoke about the afterlife. I don’t know why, we just didn’t. I knew when I saw him he was okay. That’s all that mattered.

I lost my sister in 2017 a year before that our uncle had died. I had a dream a couple years ago, probably soon after my sister's death in the dream my sister and uncle were there but they didn't talk to me my sister asked "am I dead" and my uncle said you're here with me aren't you? I laughed so hard in that dream because I understood his answer (he was always a joker).I think the dream was just to let me know that it is not somber and that their personalities are intact.

My parents were very difficult to create a relationship with , I tried building bridges many times however they would do anything in their power not to let this happen . They both passed away recently , I’ve been feeling so let down that even in their last days they couldn’t give up and allow me to get close them . The relationship was so dysfunctional I wasn’t able to attend their funerals . I guess those of you who will be reading will be thinking that maybe I was a bad son , however I wasn’t and that’s what hurts .

I know how this hurts, I've gone through the same thing with my father. Over the years before his death he discarded me . I did nothing wrong that he had to feel like this , no closure, didn't go to his funeral, my brother his golden child made sure of that. Just forgive them that's all you can do to move past this for now . Maybe some day , someone of your family will come through when you lest expect it. It happened to me. God Bless

For the last 2 weeks, I've been dreaming about my S/O who unexpectedly passed away in 2011. In each dream, he's living, but sharing an apartment with another woman. He says it's to protect me. From who or what, IDK. I always wake up with that familiar feeling in the pit of your stomach, you know, when you and your first love break up. I dreamt of him the week after he died, but I swear I was awake. He was sitting on the edge of the bed. That's what woke me up, him sitting down. He let me know he was ok, and would see me on the other side. IDK 🤔🙏❤️
