This video is largely correct but also seeks to distort history especially the part of our liberation struggles. APLA guerrillas trained in China and Cambodia, not MK guerrilas. The Soviet Union supported both with MK training in Russia and Ukraine and APLA in the former Yugoslavia. APLA had more military operations in the country including the infamous Scorpion Gang that terrorised the apartheid regime for over 2 years. The first prisoners in Robben Island were PAC / APLA members. More PAC / APLA members were hanged by the apartheid regime. The longest serving political prisoner in Robben Island was Japhta Masemola who served for 27 years and was never once in a house or wearing suits.

Problem here is China doesn't consider South Africa a partner on the same level as say a Brazil or Russia. So in a way we're basically sucking up to them hoping they notice us and treat us in the same way that they do other African states. Until that happens we may as well strengthen our ties with the NATO nations.
