The line you said about "all you who buy $7,000 Klons, should buy this instead"-- could not agree more! I own both the White Spiral and the Secret Chord. While very similar, their characters are a little different. The Secret Chord is a touch more "high fidelity", where the White Spiral has just a bit more of what I would call a "raunchiness" when it starts clipping. Yes, they are the "...from my cold, dead hands" pedals on my board. I have at least one of them switched ON at any given time while I'm playing. They're THAT GOOD!

Wow I didn’t know that Eventide did that. I’ve worked with Tom for many years as an artist/endorsee with Digitech/ Dod/ Hardwire etc (Harman).. I need to ask him.. I now am supporting him at Spiral playing his pedals and always trying to shout out him whenever possible. The things he did at Digitech was amazing.. one of the first to do the whole cab emulation single pedals with the CabDryVR! That was great.. I used the RP360XP for many years on smaller gigs and the tone was just incredible out of that thing. And even though back then I wasn’t signed to a major label yet he treated me very well.. I was hooked up with him via Travis Larson and Steve Lukather who were both music man artists as I am and also used the hardwire pedals.. They swore buy them so I took their advice..Then I got to know Tom aside from them and I’ve also considered him a genius and a brother from other.. But I never knew Eventide did that, hopefully not on purpose.

I love the DOD carcosa that I feel like the demhe is a successor to. I feel like that pedal also has that touch sensitivity that I REALLY value. For me, mine is always on and going into either a Nobels odr-1 or an Ibanez mostortion. How I use it is to just add a bit of hair to my cleans when I drop my volume on my guitar, and I am pretty much always using it in Hali mode. The high frequency control is SO dang powerful. If the demhe pedal is anything like the demhe mode on the carcosa, I can guarantee that pedal is an absolute killer and worth it's weight in the rarest of elements

Don’t all those pedals ever get pregnant and reproduce on their own? 😝 It’s funny - I was talking with someone who composes music for film and video about how much fun it is to fool around with pedals like the Walrus Audio Fathom with the variable mode control. He said “I don’t like that control - I need to know what sound I’m going to get.” I realized that he already knows exactly what he wants each piece to sound. I’m not good enough to do that but enjoy experimenting. Sometimes I end up somewhere unexpected, like a Rat on low gain setting, that’s really cool 😎

20:18 _The air was hot and dusty, the trail had been long with little enough water to sustain the majority of them. Many were now drying husks kicked into the dry ditches on the side of the trail. Left dying and their languages, histories, and ancestors, had all been uneducated out of them, because so many were already brainwashed by their own xenophobia, they could only use they gestures they knew to beg for water. But the water in this land was long gone, due to their ancestors greed and utter lack of forethought. They were of course ignored and left in the ditches with only some forlorn looks from their cattle-fam. Left to have the life slowly sucked out of them._ _But for the rest, a somewhat more pleasant end was near as the herd were funneled into a narrow fenced corridor._ _As the sun veered towards the west, the beings in the herd were taken into the building and unalived one by one. As the hot afternoon rode slowly on, the beings could smell the "unalive" growing, but indoctrinated to doing as ordered, they steadily trod on unto their own endings._ _Oh, did I forget to mention what type of being they were? A weird sort of gangly looking, two-legged cattle that were so short-lived (barely a century, if you can believe it) in the ancient days before we found this planet we now refer to as Planet FASCEX45, having something to do with a pivotal moment in their decent into self destruction. They actually destroyed the climate, the biological diversity, and the chemical balance that sustained life, even their own lives._ _I read about them, back in what to them was the year 2067. Too bad for them they had destroyed their own civilization, but good for us or we'd never have been able to make them into this abundant food source._ _By themselves they don't taste very good at all, but with a lot of seasoning they are palatable enough, and serve as a decent source of nutrition for our slaves. Too bad for them they are too weak and mind-numb from all of their unfounded biases and unwarranted fears that they were all too easy to control and through de-education have no chance of ever escaping their destiny to be nothing more than sustenance of slaves._ --Alien lament for a lost un-civilized-ation.
@ff-qf1th2 жыл бұрын
my only criticism is that the fact that the aliens have slaves necessarily means that they must be a very right-wing empire, you can't exactly be pro-slavery and have a progressive-leaning space-faring civilisation. So it's weird that they would criticise the cattle for being xenophobic, bigoted, etc. they'd be more likely to criticise them for being biologically inferior or some bs like that. If you remove the alien slavery bit it makes sense though

I’ve loved the Rubberneck for quite sometime!!! Really need to get one soon, can’t really afford to but just gonna have to go into debt and struggle for a few months and just buy one, I’ll have to forget about paying bills and food for a while to get it!! The bailiffs will come knocking again but to have a Rubberneck in my setup will be worth the hassle and trouble I’ll get myself into again to buy a great piece of guitar, recording & studio gear again which I’ve done a number of times previously before!! I know I should be more sensible sometimes but when it’s guitar or studio gear I seem to suffer with some kind of mindful haze and buy the things I really shouldn’t but you only live once and it ain’t no dress rehearsal, plus a rubberneck will benefit my music and is definitely a creative tool so it’s gonna be done very soon.
