R T Kulkarni is a man that needs no introduction, leading the Arkey Group Forward into continuous new ventures.
From beginning his career at a small Aluminium Foundry 50 Years ago, to having his own Foundry to Finally Founding ALUCAST in the 90s to the present day founding GDC Tech, we cover it all.

ALUCAST : Aluminium Casters' Association (ALUCAST)R, India
The seed for ALUCAST was sown by Mr. H. K. Firodia, then Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Tempo Ltd. in 1988, when in his opening remarks at the conference "Die Casting Technology & Economics" organised by Arkey Conference Service Cell, called upon die casters to come forward on a common platform to find solutions to the problems faced by them.
This made ARKEY work towards what came to be known as ALUCAST which was formed in 1995 & registered as Aluminium Casters' Association (ALUCAST), India in January 2005.ALUCAST had its first conference in 1995 at Pune.
It has since become a yearly event, held every December.
Earlier all conferences were held at Pune. In 1999 ALUCAST moved to Chennai. It is now held alternate years in and outside Pune. So far ALUCAST Conferences have been held at Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Goa.

GDC Tech Forum :
Aluminium Casting Industry is growing quite rapidly due to the importance of Light Weighting Programme of the automobile industry.
If this growth rate is to be enhanced then the die casting industry needs to be competitive. This can be achieved only through improved productivity, quality and reduced costs through technological upgradation.
To achieve this, upgradation of Plant & Equipment, Technology Development, Enhancement of knowledge, Innovations and Training of Manpower are critical and essential factors. One needs to remain in touch with the latest developments in the casting field globally.
A few years back, a small group of enthusiastic and dedicated people from industry, defense establishments and R & D organizations came together to form the GDCTECH Forum.
Now we invite every one concerned with this industry to extend support to the Forum by way of contributions. This will help make it better and stronger.
