Nice to see the game being covered as I rarely see any of these games in videos. My first intro to their series when I was a kid was the Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2, but I didn't had it on my GBA SP and instead emulated it on my PC. It felt really fresh for an experience and I really like the mechanics and pixel art overall. The story and characters were lovable, the crafting and gathering materials system, finding hidden medals/items, everything got me hooked on--especially the main combat itself. It would be cool to see Invizimals series covered at some point.

Yeah, the combat system is what really got me hooked in the Swordcraft Story spin off! I definitely agree, Invizimals is definitely underrated and may actually do it! I completely forgot about it, Thank you!

Man, you are hitting the greatest hits! Another I bought at release, purely because of the box. Both games in this series on GBA are EXCELLENT!

I've always wanted a JRPG fighting game hybrid, and while this may or may not be a 1:1 of the idea, it's the closest I've seen to it so far!

Red Earth, or Wizard. It's a fighting game where your characters learns new moves the more you playing single mode mode.

I had like 20hrs in Summon Night on my Powkdidy V10 and my micro SD card launched into an air vent. So maddddd. One thing I didn't initially notice was that the townspeople have new stuff to say every day with their own little sub-plots going and rewardable sidequests. The guardian beasts and narrative moments where you choose who to hang out with between tournament bouts also adds to the replayability, so I'm not too bummed about losing my save.

It's a bummer about your save file, but that's a really great point about the replayability! It's one of the things I love about Swordcraft Story too.

I've had the first two on my 3DS ever since I modded it last year, but I'll have to bump them up my backlog after watching this. Great video, concise and informative!

I agree! Boktai is one of my favorite games as well! The solar sensor was definitely an awesome and quirky touch in addition to the story and gameplay mechanics.

Wow, this makes me want to play this Game! Never knew of this Game before. Awesome video and I have the same Dandelion Analogue Pocket.
@PXLNuggets14 күн бұрын
It's definitely a must play! The Dandelion Yellow was the color I always wanted from GBC line up but wasn't available for me as a kid and ended up with a Kiwi one. Nonetheless still enjoyed it!

ah i still have to play this game, got stuck in the part where you fight the boy with metal gloves and green clothes, it has some strange spike difficult, the first "boss" that i found beated me a lot of times, but after grinding and winning to him (the big dude with the big sword and states that he does not need a companion) after that the other ones were easy af.
@PXLNuggets20 күн бұрын
Yes! I completely agree. That first fight definitely caught me off guard and was not expecting that difficulty spike, grinding is definitely a key part of Swordcraft Story.

How does one play a game that’s not available to purchase?
@PXLNuggets11 күн бұрын
There’s a few options but, I feel the most cost effective (and simplest) way to get into retro hand held gaming would be picking up a handheld emulator (any of theanbernic rg35xx or rg40 series). They’re good to go out of the box and there’s tons of tutorials on KZbin to get you going if you want to customize your system.

The music is too loud it makes it hard to focus on what you are saying. It nearly drowns out your voice

I'm sorry about that, and I appreciate the feedback! I'll definitely adjust the volumes for both my voice & bgm in future videos. Thank you
