Sykkuno answered a chatter asking why he left Twitch, explaining how they spelt his name wrong (Sukkuno) but now he's back after 2 years just to enjoy streaming and gaming with friends

Idk if I really wanna go back to twitch, I used to watch his youtube videos, then one day I decided to go watch him on twitch live and it was coincidentally his first day of gta. I stuck around because I loved it. I moved with him to youtube, not much of a move since I'm always here anyway. And tbh the streaming experience is just better here and I don't want to go back to watching twitch. On youtube he can be streaming for 3 hours, I can come in, playback while he's live and 1.5x to catch up. It doesn't constantly buffer like twitch streams, and the ads aren't as aggressive on youtube (never thought I'd say that lol). I hope the old unofficial vod channel starts uploading again, because I just don't want to be on twitch rn

I feel this so hard. 😭 Twitch sucks so bad. I started watching streamers during Covid and back then it was "meh" but now it's gotten even worse and I just have no desire to watch anything there.

Neither are giving contracts anymore so he can do whatever he wants. And the circle he vibes with are mostly on KZbin so even if Twitch's audience is bigger he has an incentive to use both platforms.

If it wasn't about the money then why switch back to Twitch? (This is a rhetorical question and doesn't need to be answered by folks who think this is an attack on Sukkuno. As a viewer, KZbin is just a better experience and would hate to go back to Twitch if the rest of the gamers I watch go back too)

Although it maybe be better experience for you, Twitch as a platform is better for streamers in doing gaming content together and promoting community which Syk does a lot of. Remember Twitch is still where it all began for him. I agree with you though, although he's downplaying the money, I'm sure Twitch isn't making the same mistake again and throwing him some good coin.

tbh sykkuno is purely a variety streamer. he doesn't do tiktok videos nor upload youtube videos apart from his vods/clips from streams. with that, i think he is really better at twitch.

People who say they like KZbin better is saying that because they don't have to pay to avoid ads. Twitch gives it streamers more lead way and less of chance of getting strikes

He went to KZbin because he was a much bigger streamer back then and at that time KZbin was willing to spend $$$ to try and grow their streaming audience . Fast forward to 2024 I can only guess KZbin realized it’s not worth it anymore… back to twitch to be a homeless person asking for subs like fuslie said

Unless youtube is paying some big bucks twitch is strictly better. KZbin discoverability sucks, chat is worse, harder to moderate, and more toxic, and every youtuber is deathly afraid of youtube's braindead DMCA and striking system. From the viewer side though youtube is so much better, they have just fumbled by not improving the youtube chat and stream discoverability

I don't think he needs to make that much money, he's a millionaire..., once you're rich enough, you can make money with your money, you don't need to ask for subs like a homeless person, that's why he said that now he realized after 2 years on KZbin that he has enough to do what he likes anywhere, meaning that he has enough money to do whatever he wants to do for probably the rest of his life, there was probably no big difference in terms of revenue between Twitch or KZbin for his renewal, so he prefers streaming on Twitch over KZbin, that's it. Any streamer would choose Twitch over KZbin, let's be honest lol. He could stop streaming, but playing games is what he likes and his friends are streamers, so he probably wants to keep streaming

the youtube contract ended and not renewed. he didn't get resigned by twitch nor by youtube no offer was given by both parties. tbh Sykkuno has nothing to offer to the table he became stagnant. unlike Ludwig - Timthetatman capitalize on making content on youtube making a dual purpose imagine Tim is getting more money putting out content in youtube rather than his streaming. Guessing it's better making money in streaming in twitch.

I'm just curious how you can tell if people on the internet is fake or not. We really don't know how he is personally so how can we came to a conclusion that a person is fake if we didn't meet him/her personally. I'm just confused how people can tell if they are faking it or not. It is not isolated in this streamer but other streamers also.

Well he is different from his KZbin vids back when he was in college, most notably he cursed back then. He was more concerned about playing well and winning, and it wasn't just about having fun.

In reality, you can't definitely know if a person is fake if you didn't interact with him for a long time personally because you really don't know him at the first place. Same thing with ordinary people. You can't know if the person is really genuine if you are not around them for a long time.
