Why take the ACT? What does the ACT mean for you?

Why do we take the ACT and why does it matter? In this video I explain the most basic information about the ACT and why it is important to YOU.
Some of the most important things to know about the ACT are...
1. You CAN improve with practice. It is NOT a measure of intelligence.
2. The ACT is a critical piece of your college and scholarship applications.
3. Your teachers have worked hard to prepare you, so listen to them!
4. You can do it!

Richard Royster idk i just need some guidance.... school has never been for me. which is unfortunate when in a society that relies so heavily on school. i'm at a point where my grades are unfixable, my gpa is ridiculously low, and i most likely won't get into any college, and i just don't know what to do. college is today's society's standard transportation to success, and if i can't go to college, then how will i succeed? it seems today, you can't be successful without a bachelors degree.. and i mean, i don't wanna make a career at a walmart or a mcdonald's, you kno? not really keen on going into technical programs.. i want to do business. and it feels i've lost that opportunity. sorry for the long & chaotic reply, i would just appreciate any advice... a video would be great; however, it's ur call, and ur channel. just thinking out loud- if it's about the kids, then lol.. please help the kids.

Great question and I would like to do a video sometime on career paths for high schoolers. As far as your situation goes, technical school is a solid option. I know you said you aren't interested, but you can make your business your technical area. There are so many areas I believe you can find one right for you. Take a look at Job Corps. One thing I learned recently is that most Job Corps students are already high school graduates. And what's great about it, is that it is FREE. You need a skill of some kind in today's world. It really just isn't optional. More and more unskilled jobs are being cut, consolidated, replaced by machines of some kind. Start with your end job and work your back. Good luck!
