Eating in banana leaves is very hygienic and healthy too.each and every thing and action is still following in tamil nadu by people.because our ancestors taught us what need to do's and don'ts.there is lots of scientific reasons behind our culture.may be we didn't follow some old practices and but we will never forget that.that why we proud as a tamil people.

We do have lassi in South India as well, which is actually diluted curd. And salt and pepper is added to that instead of sugar. Sometimes, even coriander leaf is added.

the basic education in north needs to be improved and these people need to be taught that india is secular also in language. why do north indians expect hindi to follow them like a shadow where ever they go?

Hindi is spoken as either the first, second or third language by 57.3% of Indians. Whereas Tamil is spoken by 6.3% of Indians. Which means that most states in India speak their mother tongue as well as Hindi, which is the only Indian language that is the official language of the Union of India as per the Constitution. Maharashtrians know Marathi, Hindi and English. Bengalis know Bengali, Hindi and English... Probably some basic education might be required for those in Tamil Nadu who think that linguistic abilities stop at Tamil and English.

Well I do irritate my friends like that.... when they ask me to speak in hindi as I don't speak hindi even though I can speak it very well.....in some situations they are like "Ur an indian and u don't know hindi???"....which really kills my mood.....and at that point I start cursing them in hindi and after that, that particular person never asks me the question again...😂😂

Well, it's hard to say that everyone in Tamil Nadu can speak Hindi but we do understand Hindi.. but no one really cares about learning bcuz it's not a national language.. it's just one of the languages in India n also it only has a history of 400 years or even less.. whereas Tamil is one of the 7 ancestral languages in the world.. in fact, it's the first language in the world n the only ancestral language in the world which is still being spoken.. am not claiming all this bcuz am a Tamil but it is the fact n u can check in Google 😎😀

But before learning a language we should at least have some basic needs or reasons for that. And we don't think we have that reason to learn Hindi. If u want to learn an additional language y it should be Hindi and y not Kannada or Malayalam. Because we have 22 official languages. Hindi also one of them...
