Ok. This should be a series where Kerri travels the world to various manufacturers that produce mixers, monitors, synthesizers, vinyl, cartridges, etc, etc. He's very genuine and a great narrator.

Dear Kerri Chandler. I know you're a killer Producer and DJ but I really think you should do more documentaries like this involving different aspects of the music industry as I think you really have the personality for it - I think you're a natural at this.

I remember when I was DJing in the 90s early 2000s and I would bring a professional grade tape deck to a night club to record my set live. Then I went to Mini Disc, and then ultimately straight to Hard Disk. I am still playing on my Technics Turntables and using real vinyl record. Long gone for me are the days of tape though. But yes, You cannot replace the real Analog sound.

I wish RTM would bring back 468 tape, it was the most "musical" sounding formulation and was easier to drive on semi pro machines. Unfortunatelty most machines are calibrated for 900 or 911 and RTM needed to cut costs.

Analog Tape delay is unparalled probably. Most people would not notice the distance and difference, yet it is often noticeable if one listens closely and actively.
@py_a_thon3 күн бұрын
I kinda...know how to emulate the sound...yet it is a very high level algorithmic process. There is so much mild pitch distortion and delay going on.
