As a movie, I found mutant mayhem to be extremely entertaining and I thought the dialogue represented a modern take on tmnt, emphasis on the teenage aspect of it. I really love that the turtles feel like brothers and each have a distinct personality and look as to not confuse each turtle for another. I can acknowledge that the action was lacking which the basis of the other tmnt properties but I found this new origin story of the turtles to be a fresh of air, even if there are alot of plot points to be nitpicked at. Hopefully the action gets dialed up in a sequel and they go more into the lore of tmnt with the foot clan.

I guess it's just odd because the Turtles weren't originally meant for children. Like why haven't they done a kid friendly Pulp Fiction movie? In fact all of Quentin Tarantino's films are amazing and could be made as kid friendly animated movies. Django could be just a kid friendly love story.

Starting with the origin. The origin has never been the same. I the comics, Splinter is Hamato Yoshi´s pet rat. In the cartoon, he is Hamato Yoshi mutated into a rat. April has also never been the same. She has been in high school 3 times and black for the 2nd time.The thing about Shredder: I personally believe he is and Utrom like in the 2003 cartoon and so is Cynthia Utrom (obviously), who might be Krang and Shredder could be Ch´Rell. Because why would Shredder work for anyone else? He is the big boss. Also, we might not have gotten the full backstory. You see, pre-mutated Splinter looked way cleaner than the other rats, cats and other animals on the street. I expect him to be Yoshi´s pet.

I simply think it’s important for Shredder and Splinter to have a history. Splinter can be a rat or a human who became a rat, so long as Shredder wants revenge. We don’t get that here.

He doesn't, he is just fearful that the turtles will have the same experience he had when he came to the surface for the first time. Aswell splinter actually being a rat is actually common. Micheal Bey movie did it. It wasn't until 20 years later from the first rendition where splitter would be a human in the 80s thus starting the common trait. Hell he didn't even have history with Shredder like the later incarnations, he just hated the turtles The fact that there have been multiple renditions that contradict starting from its first rendition from the 60s up to now your points Also it was just meant to be a running joke to explain how the turtles get food man, it wasn't that serious because for one, how are mutants gonna get them jobs? Their vigilantes that have no experience in the human world outside of the way of the ninja

@@LegendaryBadass there is many other things ironically before the movie came out people complained about the turtle's designs and how they sound but a twist when the movie came out it became its biggest selling point article and reviews of KZbinrs and fans changed their perspective because there teenagers acting like actual teenagers-not like the 2003 6ft badasses-its even why some people started having cult following to the 2018 tmnt because it was criticized to harshly when it has the same premise and was also criticized for the choice of designs despite its great writing There is also nothing inherently wrong about this movie and its choice of direction, it's a kid's movie for one, second why does it matter if they learned martial arts through Jackie Chan? They still learned it, it's just different. It's gonna be different than the other renditions and what's so wrong about it?

Their favourite food is pizza for God’s sake. As if realism matters at this point. I could understand if your point was to express your disappointment in the fact that this is an animated film where they had much more opportunity to lean into the animalistic traits.
