rejectors of madhabs/taqlid - take note. This is why EVERY SCHOLAR of Islam belonged to a madhab/School of Fiqh. Excellent video - JazakAllah khayr.

The problem comes from rejecting other scholars because they “aren’t from your madhhab” or because “I’m a hanafi and he isn’t”. This breeds a sort of ignorance surrounding the deen.

@@JamesBond-wv9xz Agreed, madhab fanaticism is a problem and so is rejecting them altogether.

I used to reject madhhab. The problem is, you start to realize that the level of arrogance you need to read any hadith and fully understand it is unfathomable. Reading hadith outside the understanding of a madhhab is like reading the quran with no tafsir. You're gonna get so lost and have dangerous beliefs. While I still don't believe that truth only exists within the main 4 schools, I've conceded to the fact that learning a madhhab is so important that there's next to no reason not to.

The comment section has lots of arrogant & ignorant lazy Muslims using excuses not to follow madhabs despite the incredibly strong argument presented in the video. Allah will question everyone of us after watching this video to see if we have followed a madhab or not. I'm most likely going to choose Hanafi Madhab and then learn Shafi' Madhab after.

When an European or American for example converts to Islam which madhdhab should he choose? BarakAllahu feekum.

Assalamualaykum, one should choose a madhab based on one's circumstances and preference, based on how accessible it is to you and your life considerations.

Is it true that this Shaykh accuses the Hanabilah of tajseem and says things like Imam ibn az-Zaaghooni رحمه الله says that Allah descends to the dunya with his 'Arsh? Sometimes I wish we can go back to the days when we thought the Salafis had the worst manners in this Ummah

To say one madhab is wrong and the other is right while looking at the fiqh at such a surface level you dont even know the chain of transmitters of ONE of these hadeeth that the madhab uses as daleel. @@lamb8520 Assalamualaykum. We are not qualified to determine if a madhab is right or wrong. The reason why we should follow one madhab is because mixing them can lead to an action being invalid in all four of them. If a hardship arises, you can take another madhab's ruling if necessary, as long as you are sure everything related to that specific thing is in accordance with that madhab.

Let's be honest, somewhere when the Prophet(Pbuh) had passed away something went wrong, I doubt that Allah and His Messenger(Pbuh) failed but, either the Sahaba failed or the the Tabi'un. We all know that the Tabi' al-Tabi'in had to cover for the immense flaw the two generations missed on, so they had to create these schools of thought. Now the thing is by the time Abu Hanifa(Ra) comes into the picture and is serious with his studies, there is so much fabricated hadith floating around which is insane, and no one seems to be bothered to write down anything or the actual chain, Abu Hanifas grand-teacher Ibrahim al-Nakhai says in a narration that he saw writing things down as bad. Abdullah ibn Masud was so scared to share hadith because of misquoting which is absurd. Other narrations say that the Prophet(Pbuh) forbade the writings of hadith. This is why we have many absurd hadiths, even if it's in Bukhari which are totally unacceptable and is a slander to Allah, his book and his Messenger(Pbuh). Truth is the first and second generation failed of actually creating a real school of thought by writing it down, us later generations still suffer till this day.
