Using my stimulus check on this chair was possibly the best purchase ever. Bought one from a reputable dealer who got me all the necessary add ons and sizing for me. He even found me a good sale on it so i paid only 1200 after tax even with add ons. Especially since I'm working remote and my hobbies such include music production and gaming, I'm at my computer a LOT. The combination of the forward tilt, great shoulder and lumbar support, mesh so I don't sweat as easily, it's by far the perfect chair for me. 12 year warranty and I simply do not worry about the chair.

I've actually thought about getting the Herman Miller Aeron Remastered as it has a good lumbar support from what I've seen advertised. I have minor kyphosis and two slipped discs in my lower lumbar section of my spine, but if this is the kind of chair that'd support my lower back, then I should probably order it ASAP.
@cascalheira Жыл бұрын
@@lsaminatorl For me, with my back issues, it was a great fit. Much less spells of back pain, and I can sit on it for more extended periods of time, related to the previous chair. It took me a few days to get used to it but it's worth it as if you lock all the adjustments, it pretty much forces you in a straight position. The lumbar support is quite good and can get as firm or slack as you want (some of the older classics have a stupid lumbar support thing though, so don't get that). I would still try it before buying it if you can... Some people complain about comfort and honestly this is a great chair for work, not so much for "content consumption".

@@cascalheira Thanks for the quick response! I'm thinking of just ordering it from the wellworking company website, since this have a 14 day return policy if you end up not liking it. Probably the best way for me to test out the chair is just to do it at home for me. If I end up not liking it, I'll just send it back and get my money back. I have a pc I'd like to use more both for gaming, as well as possibly getting into streaming and video creating more, but because of my lower back pains, it ends up getting on my nerves if I'm sitting in a chair for over an hour which isn't much time. The current chair I have is just one of those big tall racing gaming chairs haha. Doesn't really support my lower back at all.

But she also likes to lean back and knit while she is doing online meetings 🤷♂️ I watched all the reviews out there, but it's hard to tell which one is better for her - She is 165cm and about 66kg. It cost £420 (inc P&P) and prob should been more given the price ranges I saw on there of between £500 - £850. Works properly, no defects and the condition is amazing. My advice is don't type 'Herman Miller Aeron size...', but rather just 'Mesh Office Chair'. Took me 11 days to find one that way. Had to ask the seller to check for how many dots were on the back to deduce that it was a size C 😆

The Aeron is great, but I think its era will be ending soon. The newer live back tech is great on the Embody and the Fern, even the Autonomous ErgoChair Pro+ is good if you're the right size for it. Offering comparable support, and the ability to stretch is a game changer. I'm not sure I'd enjoy a hard frame as much after sitting in my fern (without headrest), but I'm too tall for the Aeron anyways. As a static task chair, there may never be a better chair but this new live back stuff 👀

@btodtv Жыл бұрын
Something to think about with the Aeron is the motion. It isn't like a normal synchro tilt or knee tilt chair. It is like a combo of both. So, your butt sinks down much more so than a chair like the Sayl, which has a high-end synchro tilt mech. So, while the back doesn't have the same degree of recline as say something like a racing style gaming chair, it feels like you are reclining further back because of the deepness of the recline. It is really hard to explain, but it is really nice. -RB

@btodtv Жыл бұрын
I have never given the Aeron an S-tier rating. I think the remastered is an A rated chair overall and have rated it as such. I think the Classic is a huge step down from the remastered, which is why I have scored that lower. When we have done things like Seat Comfort lists, then the Aeron has scored low because that is the chairs downfall, especially the Classic. My opinion also varies from Robert's, who is in most of our tier list videos. He loves the Aeron and scores it well across the board. -RB

You have to make a note of the title of those videos, before seeing the rating for the Aeron. They've made tier list videos on different categories like seat comfort, back comfort, armrests, etc. It makes sense that they rate the Aeron as an A tier chair overall, but for seat comfort it has scored lower, since mesh is highly polarising.
@ib78 Жыл бұрын
I don't think they have ever rated Aeron as an S-tier chair. In this video, they are explaining why it's an extremely popular chair. In their own reviews of Aeron, they have critiqued its mesh seat as not being comfortable for long durations of sitting (except for Robert). Generally, most people don't find mesh seats very comfortable, so it's a fair critique and a good point to raise for anyone considering buying it.
