Hi Ed, nice to see you back with some nice Alfa content. I have to say the car thoroughly deserves its reputation as the best sports saloon ever made. I think Alfa have improved the programming for the brakes as my 2023 car doesn't have an issue coming to a fairly smooth stop.

Great video. Alfa Romeo lost to BMW and Mercedes in the last 50 years. With the current dynamics (with each gen to BMW and Mercedes looking same) Alfa Romeo should dominate in next decade and beyond if it can get the reliability and quality issues in order. They are great cars for car guys.

That colour still looks special. I went to look at one last month and was surprised at how different the Quadrifoglio looked against the standard model due to the splashes of black with the carbon and vents scattered over it. These elements made the car far more less understated on the bright coloured models. My preference now would possibly be the grey colour.

This one is Montecarlo Blue. It really pops in the sun with a metallic flake in it. It’s really rare as well. The darker colours make it stealthier though my favourite is Montreal Green. Ed

great review as always. Although, i love my sparco seats - it was an option that i was searching for on my QV, alongside yellow calipers, rosso tri-coat and HK sound system. The seats finish the car off nicely and take it closer to its racing roots imo. Also, contrary to other reviews, the seats are very comfortable and have driven in them for hours on the motorway without any issues.

Thanks. The carbon buckets are lovely. I was just stressing the point that the standard seats are good enough 99% of the time. They completely change the character of the car. But you do lose heating in the process. I have a race car already so mine will never be used on a track. Thanks for your comment as I’m sure that others will find it helpful. Ed

When engine cold and pulling up to lights, i move my foot an extra 0.003mm and it's like I'm suddenly slamming on. Besides that, still love my Giulia but still having issues with water getting in and sending the dash into xmas tree lights mode. Thought it would fail MOT last month for ABS light on but somehow it behaved even though it played up prior and after...... lucky me.

Great to have you back Ed. Feel exactly the same about mine. Never seen anywhere near 40 mpg but mine'6 a later version. Glad I have ordinary Crise control - I've been loaned a couple of Tonales ana a Jeep Avenger that have Adaptive CC - car slows all the time including when a car overtakes 😟🏆🏁🇮🇹😊

Mines my daily, average 24mpg. As for the brakes I brake down to around 4mph release and reapply , seems to work. Had buy new disc and pads this year and sometimes I think it’s expensive to run. I press the button drive and the smile is worth every penny ❤

Great video, stunning car. Makes the morning commute a pleasure every day and weekend cruises very special. A wolf in sheep’s clothing is very accurate! A future classic, RWD, petrol powered, insane engine. Interesting comment regarding the low fuel warning, I have had the same experience and top it up before the light comes on.

@@Back_Road_Hero Ed if you do eventually pull the plug and buy one get the 21/22 model as those models have the nice Alcantara interior and green and white coloured stitching, and yellow callipers which you can't get on the later models.Just plain leather on the later models which personally i don't like good luck mate.

As luck would have it an ex demo 2023 Montreal Verde with carbon buckets has just come up at a £24k discount on new. I’m tempted! 😁

@@Back_Road_Hero Hi Ed a little tip i personally would go for a 21/22 Model Montreal Green as the spec on these year models have the Yellow brake callipers and the green and white stitching with alcantara which you can't get on the 23 /24 models, which have boring normal leather upholstery up to you just saying good luck.
@Back_Road_Hero6 ай бұрын
Thanks. It was registered in Feb ‘23 but I think it’s actually a ‘22 model. Has the green and white stitching, sparcos, exposed carbon roof. Looks like grey callipers though.

Unfortunately in Germany, a fully comprehensive insurance is very expensive for this vehicle (much more than c63 amg for example) Is it the same in the UK? I don´t really understand why it is that expensive.
