I am a first generation immigrant to the US. I arrived here in 1980 at the age of 17. I am not white and come from an Islamic background. I joined the US Army within a few years and was stationed at Ft.Riley, KS, 1st ID. This was the Cold War and I also spent some time in Mannheim, West Germany. Now headed for old age, this is what I have concluded over the decades that I have lived here. The US has come to be ruled by a hidden cabal of elites (corporations, Wall Street and so forth) whose only loyalty is to power and profit. Nothing else. They want American hegemony all over the world for this purpose, hence our meaningless foreign military misadventures. These folks could care less for the average American, no matter of what race. Remember what the Founding Fathers said about "foreign entanglements." There are concerted efforts by these elites to break down the family unit. The LBGTQ movement, mindless hedonism, consumerism etc are a manisfestation of this goal. The family is the first political unit. Once gone, the individual is essentially ruderless save for what the system tells you. The system takes away any critical thinking skills and replaces them.with obedience and fear. Fear is the key. The so-called COVID pandemic was an excellent example of sheep like behavior. What these elites do not realize is that even though the US is still a powerful nation militarily, it cannot take on other countries like Russia and China. The consequences will be horrific for all. Thus you literally have a group of strange but insane people in charge. They even believe that they can win a nuclear war with Russia or China.

@@Kbelikar "Innocent until proven guilty" comes from the anglo saxons - and from a time where they weren't christian either. Not all morality comes from god, but the path is given to your human mind. In a discussion I had about "men and long" hair, it can be clearly read, from the context in the bible, that short hair was normal for men, and long hair normal for women. One text suggests, that "the nature of things" already tells you what is normal: Short hair for men, because long hair brings glory to a woman - a female preacher, who doesn't have her hair covered, might as well have her head shaven, because it disgraces her both to have an uncovered head while preaching and having a shaved head. But more importantly "the nature of things" suggests, that moral guidance can be seen in the bible without being a law of god directly - because it's god given morality. You can find what I'm talking about in 1 Corinthians - I dunno the exact verse off the top of my head, but you know how to use Google, I'm sure.

The US has had such a period of unbridled prosperity and peace, that the citizens have lost the importance of such crucial things such as God, family, heritage, and responsibility. Your both right and wrong. Although people would not want to have kids because they aren’t ready to give up their hobbies is a good thing for that individual, because that goes to show that they are not emotionally or physically prepared to raise another human. We don’t need more dysfunctional kids growing up in this society. Another thing is that cost of living is high for a ton of people. I live in a good house with good income. However I have friends who struggle economically, and I sometimes take the time out of my day to go to my local low income areas. To be aware to the struggles of those around me. why would you ever want to bring a child into this fucked up society/world we live in? what so they can suffer? so you can get handouts for your own greedy self and disregard that child? and then avoid responsibility when that child becomes an awful person an human being because YOU didn't want to raise them? its way more than economic hardship that makes people not want to have kids, some people just don't want another living being to suffer what they have to go thru, and some just plain don't want kids to begin with its that simple. if people who are better off and want to start a family then go for it don't let anyone tell you otherwise but don't sit here and try to blame it on people not conforming to your beliefs or for prioritizing themselves over that of marriage and family building and in case you didnt know family is WAY more than just husband and wife and child. its a bond you share with another human being that feels real and close to your heart regardless of their background, gender, or race. people even consider pets as family because they are always there for you without judgment or conditions and they depend on you just as you depend on them.

I hear (and read) a lot about Western Civilization (the Euro-American Empire) being in the civil war stage of Republican Rome, but I honestly wonder if the closest parallel to our times is not instead the years that preceded the great Crisis of the Third Century, and if we're not slowly entering the Late Empire phase of Imperial Rome. The more I think about it, the more the "Crisis of the Republic" scenario rings false, or at least misses the mark. There is something not quite right about it. The Antonine Plague (Covid-19?); the assassination of Commodus (Trump?); the Germanic Invasions of the Third Century (the European Migrant Crisis?); the invasions of the Empire by Sassanid Persia (Putin's Russia?); economic inflation; cultural exhaustion; the great demographic crisis; the end of the Roman Climatic Optimum (climate change?); the timid beginnings of a large urban exodus; the great persecutions of Christians of the Third Century etc. That is to say, we're not waiting for a Caesar or an Octavian; we're waiting for an Aurelian or a Constantine.

@user-sp2yu9zt6h4 ай бұрын
no you're not. you are part of the problem
@juneack58484 ай бұрын
Why?
@paulwood3564 ай бұрын
@juneack5848 because America has always until recently been a overwhelming majority white country built on certain beliefs and freedoms not given in most of the world except in other white European countries. I know it's tough for foreigners to admit that America was built and has prospered when it's population was almost exclusively white and since immigration from non European countries America has started to crumble and quality of life has declined. Immigrants who leave their country to go to America for a better life with better opportunities and more freedom are the ones who trash white countries and scream racism and demand America change it's way of life to be more like the place they fled. Dude is worried about the decline in white population because America will eventually become like the places Latino, Asian, Indian and African people ran from to live under European countries. You think as the Muslim population grows it will respect women's rights and the gay community or allow freedom of religion? Mexican people who escaped the cartel for a safer life are gonna see the same cartel members flood America when the white population and their military numbers and weapons leave. Black people are going to have and get over the slavery arguments and how white people owe them because the other races don't give 2 shits about it. Who is going to keep China from taking over once the majority of military men who are white leave with the other white people who are the people who are the overwhelming majority of workers in the electrical industry, utilities departments that build and maintain sewage and water systems, agricultural systems and farming, trucking industries, educational departments, carpentry and mechanical professionals and the majority of the education staff, and medical fields and the majority of the military members that protect you? To the people who will say minority people are in those jobs to forget to realize that they are a miniscule percentage of those in those jobs and stand no chance of keeping those systems up and running. White people are the biggest contributing race when it comes to tax revenue the government gets money from for funding schools and social services and the resources will walk out the door with the white population gone.

I was a hopeless romantic growing up, and I dreamed of meeting the love of my life and building a family together. As an American, I've taken note of a similar phenomenon in the uk, where theres a uniparty consisting of labor and the conservative in name only torries. Since the latest uk election, a 3rd party, led by nigel farage (Reform UK) is gaining ground. The uniparty in the uk is crumbling, which puts the actual British right wing bloc in good position to take advantage of it, maybe even making even making farage prime minister by the end of the decade. If the rise of the right in europe is any indication, theres no reason that cant happen here.

I think the main problem with the westerner, me living in Asia for the last 20 years, lived in Europe for around 7, and the rest of my life in my native Brazil, a country that is losing the power of having a multicultural real society as it starts to abide to USA type stupidity, is that the Western ideology, be it the "left" or the "right" started to ignore that being of a certain culture or ideology does not impose on people who arent. Brazil was for a long time a good place to people of all backgrounds, even if it was a majority christian country. While we were a majority Catholic christian, it was so. The charismatic evangelic "lobby" made sure christianity, and more so evangelics, started to create a feud with other religions. We had a good life for gay people during a certain portion of recent history, but we started to mess with it when we adopted LGBT radical ideals, forcing the values of them over the values of most people. No wonder people started to resent this agenda. In Asia, I lived in many countries, and while they are not keen to add christian or gay values to their nations, they are not prosecuting people for being christian or gay. That is the main issue the USA type of "multiculturalism" causes. We could live in peace with gays, christians, transgenders, etc, if the politics did not forced cultural changes. It is perfectly possible that people accept the existence and the integration of gay people in society, as much as other religions or cultures, as long as they respect the values of the society they are in. We dont need to force people to have specific groups into places, they will, if respecting the culture, integrate given the HUMAN RIGHTS inherently possible to anyone. We dont need to give the right to people for being gay, if we give the right to people to "have sex to anyone they want in their own privacy". Do we want the gay people to go have their gay culture in private ? OFC, so much as we dont allow straight people to go having sex in the streets too. That is not about being gay, that is about being civilized. I think that is the problem, and not a problem of the USA. The USA only has many other problems it has to contend because of it. But the whole Western World needs to learn that there is such thing as what individuals do in their own homes and privacy, and what a nation is known for their people to do. Even Mao had a lenient view of homossexuality based on that exact principle: No one cares to who you make love, but in society, you are all chinese. That is something very few people know, but it was Mao who started to make China more equal and more accepting of differences, in the sense that everyone was a chinese citizen and therefore an "operative" of the big machine that was China. But the stupidity of the West only see that "there was a famine, he was the chief of State, therefore it was his fault", which is one of the stupidiest takes among the many Western people do. If it was the case, you would not have him to be a respected character in the history of China for the Chinese.
