I agree with you that the E-tron GT has a more practical interior design because of the real buttons /knobs for the secondary controls rather than going with all touchscreen for everything which can be a pain in the butt to use. The Taycan's interior is sleek and has the traditional Porsche dash layout design but its simply not as practical to use on a daily basis. As far as exterior design, both cars look great. But I would say that the E-tron GT is more visually stunning especially from the side and 3/4 rearview. What strikes me about the car's design is its perfectly balanced proportions and muscular stance. In today's SUV dominated world, there are very few cars that could be called beautiful, but both the Taycan and E-tron GT are arguably beautiful looking.

Honestly prefer the Taycan; beautiful curved driver display, secondary control screen, battery info, and drive system function info. Biggest issue with the e-tron GT interior is the lack of an adjustable center armrest and I absolutely cannot stand the piano black because of dust and micro scratches! That upper MMI trim is right in the line of sight and would drive me crazy.

You do realize that the laggy bottom screen on the Taycan is almost as reflective as piano black?

I like both. I daily an e-tron 55, like you. And while the GT seems just as good interior wise, and I like the physical buttons, I like that the Taycan has more information (like battery temp and power distribution) in the drivers display. And I like the drive mode selector on the steering wheel (nice little metal wheel that feels super luxurious, and sturdy). I also feel like Porsche in general uses less glossy plastic. Seems like Audi likes fingerprints, dust and micro scratches. 🤦‍♂️ You should try to borrow a Taycan and do a full set of tests of it. And even a road trip or long distance race. Preferably with the 19 inch wheels 🙏, to be able to do a fair comparison with anything else. It still touches more road surface than a Model S on 19 inch wheels and far more than a Model 3. So it’s not exactly bicycle wheels, like certain KZbinrs say..

I certainly hope the route planner is better. Can you add a charging stop where you know there is one but the car's route planner is ignorant of it? Agree with physical buttons although I've had it six months and haven't missed them. The passenger display is very nice and useful. The Porsche is a great driver's car, but the tech features are .......I rather like the regeneration setup and wouldn't use the paddles. I think it is more efficient also. I got 29.6KW/100 miles on my trip from Goshen, AR to Ft. Worth, TX.

I recommend to use the Audi Virtual Cockpit e-tron instead of classic. With this you see easily the SOC battery…

Good job Kris! My etron MY 2021 does NOT have anymore the shortcut to the battery! Ze Germanz ”forgot” or remove that when they updated the software.. the old car MY 2020 had it just like yours.. 👍

It’s not there by default, you have to make it a short cut manually 😊😊

It seems a very nice car but the menu structure of the infotainment system is really old school. To much actions/drill downs to get to the essential information you need. Also I think the icons look too similar (to much grey) to easily find the correct one while driving.

Reviewers should stop the game of 'which one is best'. Know it's catchy and create views, but it is also deeply unbelievable. Taste is individual - so treating reviews as an objective science is just annoying...
