Modelling is truly amazing. I was blown away back in the 2000's by the Vox Tonelab stuff, and look how much it has evolved, and neat now that you can up it unto a computer screen test it out, and then take it and feed it into either an amp, or DI, FR's, and take it out and Gig with it. Just Mind Blowing. Of Course I am Amazed at how there is a Pedal maker all over the place to. We had a Handful of stuff back in the 70's, just a couple effects company's. I think the modelling keeps or enables Poor folk interested, and being able to build a Rig which is way beyond our Budgets could ever be. THANKS JOHN for your expertise.

As someone who plays in a Floyd act and thus actually does tour with an old Bradshaw unit, 2290, PCM80, and all that stuff…. I sure love these sounds :)

I want an axe fx , but you need a sensitive ear to get all the levels tweaked just right…like you do. 😂 Maybe some day 🙌

Bit of synchronicity. I’ve been building Landau/Lukather style rigs all month, in and outside of the axefx. Cheers brother, D 🤙🏼

The tri-chorus split into detune and reverb mixed down into the delays last creates a bit of magic. Multiple stage parallel routings are the hallmark of those Bradshaw Gilmour/Landau/Lukather racks. Fun stuff giving life to old gear and new.

Great sounding preset! Coming up in those days, I'd say the one thing I'd change is that we'd always put mod or detune effects BEFORE delay or reverb, not after. So right after any gain stage (or in a system like this, right after the cab. Of course some would put those first before the amp and that's fine although not my preference. But definitely, I always put chorus or any other mod before delay. It just sounds cleaner and better to me. Another thing I do now in the Helix that I couldn't do with any of my 80s/90s/2000s analog rigs is that I put delay and reverb on separate paths so delay repeats do not go into the reverb. Again, sounds cleaner to me especially when delay or reverb mix is high (or both). I split right before the delay and merge right after with delay/reveb on separate branches. Great video as always! A recreation of this in the Helix would be awesome :)

Its not a Bradshaw Rig if you youre running Mods, Delays, and Reverbs all in series. Most of his rigs were ALL parallel.

Can the idea of this video be translated to a Helix video?

It might be very interesting to have your opinion about Jacob Collier's tuning in the last Paul David's video.
