Statistically it is always better to put money in the market NOW. Market beta is positive. With the current drawdown in Global markets, now is a great opportunity (recall the Buffet saying "buy when there is blood in the streets"). If you're scared of market turmoil just invest slowly.... rather than investing $10,000 right now, put in $2,000 per month. That can help get over the mental block. Hope that helps.
