In the Blender 2024 event, it was explained how to speed up rendering in Cycles by rendering each light separately and then combining the results into the final image. How can we achieve this in Blender?

Good ideas. I find taking notes as I watch the tutorial and creating my own "cheat sheets" from the tutorials helps me learn faster also.

So glad to see your video at this moment. I have a passion into comouter, design, and writting since on Highschool. I also have several small business trial and then just gave up before. I have 2 gap years until I can go to college with opposite major than my passion (I take Tourism Business Management). I also started to trade crypto on that time (2017). I have a lot of struggling moments with my bad habits, such as gambling, drunk, drugs, and others. I waste my time and money on that moment. Been trading for several months, quit until years change, then try again on bull run market (always out broke). Now I'm already work full-time for 2 years on Five Stars Resort, but I just lost all of my savings again with all of my bad habits, especially gambling and trade like a gambler on memecoin. I just started again now, trying to figure out how I could survive and learn my passion before (designs and build something). I truly want to have pride of myself now. Glad I end up on your video while I'm thinking to design some 3D assets for my portfolio. Hopefully I can be success like you someday and read this comment again with smile around my lovely family. Something I wish they'd do, is genuinely make it so when you update your version of blender, your plugins, add-ons everything don't need to be fixed as well. I'm terrified of going above 4.1 because all of my preferred tools are already here.

I'll definitely donate to Blender, it's been my lifesaver in 2024. Learning to become an artist after years of thinking all I could do was write... now? The images in my head, I don't have to struggle to find the words...

I always feel amaze with people who is younger than me, but they have so many talents that took me years to learn. I feel like a failure, but by watching you video I think being older than everyone else while learning a new skill is okay. There is nothing as late to learn as long as we have the courage and determination on it.

When I worked for 2 years I was a silver Member, then I went back to college and I'm looking for a job so I had to stop, but I promise I'll stay again. I think that anyone who makes money working in blender should support its development, otherwise they might end up having to buy a yearly 3ds subscription for a few grand, so maybe a few bucks a month isn't that much, don't you think?

I have a question even if I’m a bit late 😅. For the low poly version can we just duplicate the high poly and use a decimate modifier or it’s really not a good idea ? (Excuse me if you don’t understand me, English isn’t my native language ^^)

i had no clue that blender was so underpaid i just donated 25 dollars. i’m not rich or anything but the fact that blender (which is an insane program to be free) is so severely underpaid and that they might be having to let go of developers makes me sad. i know how underpaid developers can be as i have to deal some of the same struggles so i just want to help them any way i can. without blender my animations and 3D meshes would be horrible if not, nonexistent. and i’m not paying hundreds if not potentially thousands of dollars that i don’t have just to be able to do my job on a solo indie level.

Seing blender from the window on top of the leman lake is something for sure

in softimage addons would always install their menuitems in the correct place you would expect them in and have a little "u" on the right side of the menuitem so you know its not a standarditem. i.e. modelling addons would go into the mesh /modelling submenu , bone addons would go into animation /bones submenu and so on .. very easy to use and intuitive. Also blender finally needs popout miniwindows for addon uis ... the sidebar(n-panel) is so bad

Blender free for all ended on 2.79b. After this is just for people with money to buy newest pcs and people who wants to use amounts of plugins instead of learning to do the job. That's the reason why hollyood and disney said the software is something they will not use.

For example, if you want to go pro as runner, the best way might to only focus on running and things that influence your running perf (eating healthy, go to gym, mental coach etc) My question is, wouldn't it better to focus on only one revenue, for example, making addon, and just try to make the best addons? Maybe, it's interesting to diversify your revenue because the mindset is "how I motetize my already existing skills"? And then the answer is: you can sell cours on how you did this artwork, and also sell the physical artwork as print, sell the blender file, sell a 3D printed fingurine of the caracter in the artwork etc Anyway, thanks for the vid, please enlight me :D
