It is the Cave. -> The best "episodes" of G5 pass through that Cave under Maretime Bay. What? . The cave contains the same kind of crystals present everywhere on Briddlewood, but nowhere else in between both cities. Why? . Maretime was built around the Lighthouse. The Lighthouse was built on the highest point of the coast (still in line of sight) of the local Layline Crossing. . The Cave & the Abandoned Theme Park are at the closest point of the landmass to the "epicenter" (sea level point) of [The Source]. . There must be a reason for the "Wishing Star" closest´s approach to the planet of Equestria to happen right on top of it. -> There is ~something~ at the bottom of the sea. On the center of the "Bay" of Maretime. [Theory: It is a meteorite of "golden" (sanctified) Delirium]

@user-wc7rc7dy4m The "Map" that shows up whenever Izzy uses the Nova Charm superseeds any map from G4. -> "New Equestria" is not even the same physical geographical land. . The [Nation of Old Equestria] from G4 expanded over the centuries, including neighboring kingdoms like Maretonia, Saddle Arabia, the (old) Dragon Lands, Yakyakistan, Abyssinia, etc -> Ponies were free to colonize this other anexed lands, tus becoming "defacto (expanded) Equestria" . . After the MASSACRE of Opaline´s Initial Attack (leading to many species to their extinction, almost also including ponies); one of the new enclaves of ponies remaining was near the southern/equatorial sector of a continent (we do not know for sure if is the same as the one of Canterlot, or a landmass at the east of Manehattan). . Twilight sent Spike with the Dragonstone (plus 3 other ponies with each of the Unity Crystals) to this secluded region. Once they arrived she placed protective "barriers" over the islands (dragons) & continental coast (ponies). -> It took Opaline a long time to find out the location of this "cloaked" region (that she could not perceive through or enter); choosing to build her "Castle" near it [waiting for better conditions to arrive eventually, taking advantage of her immortality].

I feel like I should add onto this a bit more because the episode is just that good. As someone who’s often struggled with creative block, I found the plot to be relatable, and I really resonated with Izzy throughout its runtime. I was smiling so much throughout the episode and it has managed to cement Izzy as one of if not my favorite G5 pony of all time

This special was incredible Izzy totally in character The Songs Were Amazing Destiny is Absolutely Adorable And a great Moral Also I love the board Trot location it makes me wish that a G5 amusement park was real I would totally go to this place if it existed in real life And tell your tale proved that I can tell great stories with a longer run time This is what tyt needed and I’m so happy we got it Also seeing Allura was cool And also stumbling across the cave from portrait of a princess and seeing the rocks still there blocking the entrance what a callback that was Overall incredible Amazing Fantastic every sense of the word This special was Can’t wait for more Happy to see G5 still Thriving Keep it up Hasbro👍🏻 Also please be more consistent with your release schedule PLEASE!!🙏🏻

I'd say my favorite thing about the special is the expansion on Allura's character. I'm glad they are touching on the fact that she has to contend with a new climate while being in Maretime. It's nice that we a softer side to giant kitty, not just with her showing how much she cares for Twitch ( Look at her face when she says she'll try his idea. It's so cute😻,as is the scene itself ) but her about home. I did not expect her to be homesick. Her design screams "Rebellious" to me with her hair style and ear piercing. Really brings "rebellious teenage phase" to mind. I like to think it's because of her desire for complete freedom. Being able to do whatever she wants, wherever she wants. She doesn't want to be tied down or stuck in one place, which is why she wants the nova charm. With it, she could go between any and all the realms she wants whenever she feels like it, with her brother at her side and Twitch in tow. Because of all that, seeing her seem to miss home was interesting. Perhaps that's where her brother is. Stuck in their home realm like how Allura is now stuck in Maretime bay. I really hope we get more on who her brother is and where their home is. A also appreciate the parallel Allura has with Izzy with being stuck (Izzy's creative block and Allura struggling to find a living space) and the message of pushing forward with the help of others. Izzy goes on a quest to find new inspiration with friends old and new and Allura is able to make a temporary home because she trusted Twitch's advice. That was nice. Its cool seeing another creature and a sea pony no less. I also like the line about laughter being magic. Reminds me of when the element of Laughter, Pinkie, made a connection with Skystar in the 2017 movie, (I don't know if that was intentional but I thought it was neat none the less). Given how we have Opaline and the dragons to represent fire, Allura and the auroricorns to relate to ice, The third element could be water with Destiny and the sea ponies, perhaps a villain will also be a water elemental. PS I really hope we get more on the Jade sea, Isle of Scaly, and Starlight Ridge before finding new locations. Work with what you have before bringing in new stuff and all that. Side note: I love the new auroricorn, Stardance, and Destiny. They’re fun I hope we see them again soon, as well as comet. Actually I hope they focus on Comet first, he hasn't been seen since the season 1 finale. I respect them taking their time and not having a new character join the mane cast right after the their introduction which allows for a more gradual transition like with Misty, but they haven't done any transitioning in season 2, and I am really itching to see him. The board trot is really exciting and I can't wait to see what the nova shards bring out. Speaking of magic areas, Izzy says "Crystal B, you think of everything" when she puts on her scuba mask, as in Crystal Brighthouse. Which pretty much confirms the Bright house is now sentient, and I am totally find with that. The songs we have are definitely energetic, especially feel the magic. That song really does feel like something you would wake up to. Let your Magic Run Wild is defiantly my favorite, not only does it include all six members, but it is so grand, epic, and powerful.

Even though I don't love the special as much as you, I'm glad the love you have for it allowed you to pour all your heart into this review. This was a great first special from TYT with how it added more worldbuilding, showcased Izzy at her best, and even had the villains shine, pleasantly shocking me with having Allura show genuine concern for Twitch. Only thing that sucks is the exclusion of Comet, honestly insulting to not acknowledge him in the same special where they trap him in Equestria along with Allura and Twitch. No Comet is the only thing I don't like about TYT Season 2 though, honestly.

Thanks. Yeah, me calling out Hasbro for leaving Comet out has become a running gag on my channel at this point, and it doesn’t show any signs of stopping. Honestly, if they would just put the poor guy back in, then my only remaining flaw with the season would be gone in an instant. Here’s hoping the EQD leak I discussed previously is true and Comet is put back in a focus episode because I honestly miss him. Also yeah, Allura actually caring for Twitch was a nice touch. Now I feel bummed I forgot to put that in the review. I guess this is what happens when you stay up until 5 in the morning making videos.

@@PresidentOfTheNewLunarRepublic [Theory]: Comet discovered a "physical route" between Equestria & Starlight Ridge. . Be it totally by accident (a random walk, or perhaps "Fate" pushing him there), or after uncovering ancient maps, he realized that some of the geography he knows of Starlight Ridge seems to have a "counterpart" on the opposite side (east/west; north/south) on Equestria. -> He is trying to find a path that will lead him to "the other side" of some mountains; but it simply does not exist [perhaps it did in the past, but a slide or earthquake collapsed on top of it]. . It is going to take him a lot of effort to manage to climb them by going through -alternative- _wild_ paths. . But as soon as he manages to confirm what the audience now knows (that Starlight Ridge is in the same "planet" than Equestria); he would have to go all the way back manually [again]; because Izzy disabled the Nova Charm (by splitting it into 6 of the 7 "Everfree Shards"). -> Perhaps he could convince the rest of the Auroricorns to help him open a new permanent passage through the rock (or clean up a collapsed one).

XD It was a mix-up, the article writer thought that a clip featuring Comet from Hasbro's KZbin channel was from an upcoming episode when it was actually from an old one. When everyone told the writer about the mistake, the article was taken down. Not bragging, but I knew right from the outset it was too good to be true. I'm sure Comet will show up eventually, but right now, the void left by his absence is by far the worst thing about TYT S2. The element speeches, especially when they're abridged, don't even compare.

YES YES YES im so happy you made a video about this special!! (I just started this vid so im commenting before i hear it all, but I LOVED this special so much it makes me emotional) Edit: OK OK ive gone through it, Izzys creative block in this episode not only felt even more relatable than past instances, it was explained really well like you mentioned! Ive been feeling extreme burnout lately, and I also used to be an art student so its a double whammy for me. The way Izzy described her feelings reminds me of the ways I used to write about how i felt terrible as a kid lol. But seriously I loved that we were taken on Izzys journey, and Im SO glad we have seaponies back too! I loved Destiny so much, I see lots of shipping with her and Izzy already and I love it lol. Imagine how gorgeous this couldve been in 3D, it was already phenomenal in 2D

This special was awesome! I loved what they were able to do with this for the first special. The other specials to come in the future should be just as good, if not better. Hopefully, what they put in this special will come up again in future episodes, and specials as well. Perhaps The Blockywockys worked so well because of the 22 minute runtime. The 22 minute runtime is what TYT needs in my opinion. That way it can truly stand on it's own as more than just a webseries. Because the 5 minute runtime was what was holding TYT back from being the main series. Personally, if they extend TYT to 22 minute episodes, and if you keep MYM for specials, I think that G5 will hit the sweet spot that will truly make it worthy. Also, Sea Ponies are now canon to the G4/G5 timeline, and as more than just transformed ponies/hypogriffs.

Until we get an episode proving otherwise, I think it's safe to say that Comet has been written out of the show completely. Which is really fucking stupid. I mean, I didn't care too much for him in his previous appearances, but even I can see that they dropped the potential he had that was promised at the end of Secrets of Starlight, and in the season that is focused on Secrets of Starlight's antagonist and has been mostly narrative-focused... Comet being completely absent absolutely makes no sense. I, too, was expecting him to show up in this special. Yeah, it wouldn't make sense for him to appear in Starlight Ridge when he left it to see other realms, but even if him being in Starlight Ridge retconned the ending of the previous special, at least he would be there. But no.

He is a "escape card" (out of the "Jail of Ignorance") that is the current "New Equestria". -> He is "exploring the outside" of the regional limits of the Pony Land [that was "out of reach" before Opaline destroyed Twilight´s Barrier]. . It is going to take him some time (but he will eventually find "a clue" & will return with it as a "Surprise Adventure Quest" for the Mane Six). -> The exact moment to use him is critical (the writers have to choose carefully when to do this, as they may not do it again).
