As a big time Cards fan, Jordan Walker was the one big thing that was exciting to me about the Birds right now. This makes zero sense. Something major is happening either the cardinals right now because none of this season makes any sense right now

After his bloop single hitting streak he cooled off really quick and couldn't hit shit!!! The dude will bounce back he's way too talented not to but sending him down to AAA where he can get more playing time is better than sitting on the bench every other day or so because you have 4 or 5 other guys to compete for playing time

The brains behind this team are lost. Players floundering under a perpetual cloud. Perfect example on a microcosm. Player reaches first to load the bases via catchers interference. Followed by HBP on a 2 strike count. Guy leads off with a hit, next guy DP. Team is lost.

Well the cards FO probably has CM on a short leash just like he had JW on a short lease given that he’s relatively young and unproven as a major league manager, so it makes sense for him to go for the win now

They need to showcase the other outfielders for inevitable trades. He'll be back next month to join this terrible baseball team. He might say I'd rather stay in Memphis the rest of the year.

The problem is where is he going to play. The Cards keep hurting this team by having players in their Second best position. Nootbar is back and he IS your best defender in right, you have to play Carlson in center because he is head and shoulders above others defensively, and my god Tommy is an outstanding second baseman playing shortstop. Move him back there and leave him alone. So that being said have the Cards been working Walker in left at all. This Cards defense is not up to fan’s standards. Anyone else feel like there is a monstrous difference in the catching position? Hey we were used to Molina throwing BB’s (on target) to anywhere on the field. Now just not sure where the ball is going. Interesting maybe to know how the pitching staff really feel about the change.

His defense was terrible, and the other 4 outfielders weren't getting consistent ABs. The other outfielders couldn't find a groove. Now we have Noot/O'neil everyday, with Burly/Carlson Platooning. Donovan can also slot in there. I expect someone, not named Nootbaar, to be traded to make room for him while he works on his defense.

Walker couldn't hit junk. The Cards have three guys 22 or younger, Walker and O'Neill. 17 players played in the WBC so his amount of bats off lousing pitching in spring training elevated his numbers. and he has questionable defense. He is in AAA, for the first time, and needs to succeed there.

looks like there should be a managerial change, he did nothing for a better pitching staff in the off season, and now look at the pitching really bad, and then gets into it with O'neil and says it on TV, not good for this team. they need a new manager

Who did nothing…..Oli…? The teams manager..? I think you have him mixed up with the man who writes his checks….. The person you sound like your pissy at is John Mozeilak…you know him right…? The president of baseball operations….ring a bell? Stop trying to throw all the blame on Oli….all he can do is plug people into a lineup that he’s given by the FO with money “they” choose to spend or not spend.

I think it is the Cardinals have too many outfielders and they can't get playing time for everybody so they sent him down so they can look at the other guy stayed with her going to trade for they bring Walker back up

Mo and Oli need to go. Oli lost the clubhouse when he went public on O’Neil. Hitters have not adjusted to how their being pitched. Hitting Coach isn’t doing his job. The bullpen has given away leads far too much and there is little to no improvement by pitchers. 2024 after major changes can’t come soon enough.
