Why the Chanel Jumbo is the only classic flap you need!

It hasn't been very on-trend lately but I honestly believe that the jumbo classic flap by Chanel is the only classic flap you need.
It is the most versatile, useful and wearable for all occasions - do you agree?

It has quickly become my holy grail. There’s nothing that comes close to a classic jumbo ☺️😌😚 it’s the gold standard to me. I bought brand new from the store before the price increase and mine has the perfect grain and the most glistening caviar leather I have seen and I have seen dull ones before. currently waiting to add the beige into my collection👌

Totally agree about the Jumbo. I have the lambskin black jumbo shw. The lambskin is more durable than some think . It’s such a classic bag . I do love the noisy chains 😁

I was thinking of selling mine. But now you’ve convinced me. It is easy to wear with thick winter coats with the longer strap! And you’re right so versatile compared to the smaller classics. Still love the mini rectangles tho!

I’ve been saying this. The jumbo looks the best hands down. I’m 5’7 135 lbs and this bag is the perfect size. Large enough for causal day outings and small enough for evening dressy wear.

I just picked up a reissue in jumbo size - first Chanel bag I've owned that actually fits everything I want to carry without downsizing. I know we're in a mini bag trend right now - but that's so impractical!! Great vid.

How I wish I had bought this Chanel Jumbo 12 years ago when I paid $2400 for my Chanel lambskin classic medium! I only wear it for special occasions because the lambskin from that year is soooo delicate and marks up easily! I also got the GST and Medallion tote and sold both those 4 years ago and if I had bought the jumbo then I would have saved $8000! I’m Canadian so our prices are very similar to Australia and definitely I would go preloved like you for this now! Great video Dayle!

I have a calfskin Reissue with mini pouch in the medium/large size of the Classic and that works as an everyday bag for me for its size, discretion and for being softer. And I have a jumbo in the Classic as I love how structured it is and because it's roomy but I don't ever wear it in Australia as I never see them around and I feel it's just too "flashy" but in Europe - it's perfect!!!

It’s just crazy how the price increases have pushed pre-loved bags into a whole new level of pricing.... it’s a lot of money for an item without the experience to go with it. Your Dior is a lovely style, the cabbage quits are better than Chanel in my opinion 🤗

That is the most supple-looking Caviar jumbo I’ve seen so far! ❤️❤️❤️ if I could have found one that looks like this I probably would have gotten caviar. But the ones I’ve seen are mostly stiff and plastic-looking, so I went with lambskin and I love it!

Thank you for a great video. I nearly bought the jumbo instead of medium a few years back. The medium was £4200 and jumbo £4800, so not much of a price difference. Now they are £1300 more each. This jumbo bag does look very put together on everyone I see using it. I did not buy it because I do not want to use Chanelbags for work at the moment. I sold my medium recently because it was an in between size which was not useful for outside work. I am going to buy a mini rectangular for outside work soon. Maybe I would consider a jumbo sometime in the future.

It’s perfect for everything…I collected them from 2007…they still look brand new. The only mistake I made was to buy the maxi in lambskin, it’s sheer luxury but I have to be very careful. The jumbo in caviar is hardy and looks beautiful❤

@@alenalovesbeauty The jumbo in Caviar is heavier than the maxi in Lambskin. Strange but I weighed them and the maxi was lighter because the leather is lighter. I love the jumbo caviars but the chains dig into my shoulder by the end of the day…but carries everything I need. 🫶

Hey beautiful I just bought a jumbo double flap caviar gold hardware today from boutique I was looking all over it and yes I am falling off my chair still about price but I’m hoping I made the right choice and I just checked now mines made in Italy arrrghh wish I knew this before lol does it make a difference? Question- would you have gone single flap if you had the option? I’m lusting over a jumbo but wondering single or double flap. The single flaps get this crease on the back of the flap. That kinda has me worried, what if it cracks or tears. I don’t think I could go lambskin for the jumbo as I would use daily and scared to ruin it. Also how is it getting in and out of it? Do you get used to the double flap or does it get annoying?

Hey Loli- I’d stick with the double flap for exactly the reasons you stated about the single. I watched all of the videos before I bought mine and thought for such a big bag, that I’d put a lot in, maintaining the structure would be super important. The double flap in the jumbo is nowhere near as annoying as on a medium or small - that’s next level annoying!

I just got my first JUMBO! I have 3 mediums but I'm happy to invest in a larger bag for travel! Plus the deal was way too good to pass up! 2018 production, excellent condition for $4,500 in 2022!! (I have a video up!!) Mine is made in Italy. All my others are made in France. You mentioned that if it's not made in France it's most likely fake. I had my bag professionally authenticated twice. 😅 It's also very similar to my brand new 2022P medium black caviar, I bought last month from Chanel. I don't see/smell/etc anything so different between the two except size. Both are excellent quality, shiny black caviar and lovely. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have a review of my 2022 medium going up tomorrow, maybe you might see some differences despite size and huge chain length differences 😂. ♥️

Very nice, informative video about the Chanel Jumbo❤️🌸. I did want to say sth without being disrespectful. A couple of Lady Dior bags that I bought in the Dior boutique are made in France. I always check the inside myself before purchasing in the boutique. I don’t know about the other models but you said none of them. So it’s quite a wrong statement to make that none of the Dior bags are made in France and if it says so it’s probably a fake bag. Because some people who watch your video may think that’s true and be confused by their (pre-loved) purchases and think they own a fake because of this. I have this but now as i am older i find it very heavy even without it being filled with stuff. I love it but i just find it really uncomfortable after a couple of hours. Sadly. Worked well for me when i was younger. 😢 Love it but hardly reach for it anymore. If you are taller though, i would work better than the M/L. I am 5'4" and must admit, its a little big for me too.

Not all luxury bags are “made in Italy” and not all Chanel bags are made in Italy or France. Depending on what the item is SLG, costume jewelry or if it’s a seasonal item, it can be made in France, Spain or Italy. Most Chanel jumbos are made in Italy while those in the classic colors tend to be made in France whilst most small or M/L classic flaps are made in France...

I’m 5 feet tall and I have 4 jumbo bags. I know the medium may fit me better but the medium doesn’t give me a luxury and classy look as the jumbo, jumbo give a boss lady bag, plus the strap is too short on the medium so looking weird when it sits way higher than my hip . I have the jumbo and I'm 5'3" too. I love wearing it over coats. But I also have the mini flap and reissue classic size if I'm not wearing coats lol. It's kind of big without the coat on me (I'm size 4) haha but I love it so much. Everytime I think of selling my jumbo, I'm seeing reasons not to like now. With coats, my other bags seem not to be showing unlike the jumbo which looks really good.
