I have little doubt with money on the line that Robert will suddenly find a way to remain at least mostly healthy. Funny how things work that way when getting towards the end of contracts. I wouldn’t put a timetable on a trade for Robert, but if any real interesting offers came in then, they’d seriously have to consider it. Right now, his talent is still the team’s best asset and they need to flip it as soon as possible if they hope to jumpstart a new rebuild. Not that anyone has much, if any faith in that either. Knowing what needs to be done doesn’t mean knowing how to do it right. Identifying and developing quality talent is not really their strong suit. At best, they get lucky when a player or two pan out but it never seems to get much further than that. It’s really sad how dry and drab the entire Chicago sports scene is at the moment. NONE of them seem to have a clue. Even worse, they show very little ambition towards improving. Fingers crossed 🤞 on the Bears going forward. Everyone else, especially the White Sox, seems like they’ll all l be stuck in sucktown for a long time to come.

Pretty funny that last offseason Getz said he only had one untouchable. What a difference a year could make. 🤦♂️

Also someone needs to get into his head and freaking get emotion and attitude out if him! Immediately!

This is simple. Two ways. His camp and the mlb world. Someone needs to tell this dude to show emotion, to actually play baseball and to step up and utilize his potential. Because like said, he can be bought out for 2 million and in his prime. Nobody will take a shot. Now if they keep him, uses his take t and steps up. The dude is a MVP! So I would roll dice. Hold him till break, has 2 years control and trade him.

I wish we would have traded Robert last winter. He's got incredible potential. The problem is that he doesn't want to be here. His heart isn't into it. That attitude completely destroyed this team and its contagious. It would have been so much nicer to have a couple of great prospects. They would hustle out every grounder and be honoured to be here. Additionally, this would have created added payroll savings for a potential free agent.

There isn’t enough time for him to build up any real trade value. He is who he is. He is loaded with talent and always injured. His track rack record is just that. Robert is a lower performing version of Byron Buxton.

Unfortunately at this point ANY time is a good time to get rid of Robert. He’s nothing more than another Moncada and Eloy-potential potential potential but constantly hurt and doesn’t show any fire/want to. I’m even more disappointed in how Moncada turned out than how both Robert and Eloy turned out, mainly because at least Moncada used to worship Abreu, whom was a good example/leader. Moncada used to be by Abreu’s side constantly, mimicking everything Abreu did. I guess you simply can’t teach desire. Bye bye please L. Robert!
