I love Daryl/Norman but I get suspicious when an actor over hypes--repeatedly, no less--a show. Andrew Lincoln and JDM didn't/don't over hype their shows.

High expectations lead to disappointment. Low expectations lead to being satisfied. Norman Giving fans high expectations is dangerous. I recently re-watched "The Grove" expecting it to be as amazing as it was in 2014, and it was a painfully average episode. I recently re-watched "Welcome to the Tombs" not expecting much of anything because I remember my disappointment because I was expecting to see "Too Far gone", and I was surprised at how good that episode was. It's still a weak finale but as a regular episode it's way better than I remember cuz I had low expectations.

Darrell was only in my favorite episode of all time 5.3 for 26 Seconds So it would be Awesome to bet that. He Did say season one was a work of art and I agree.

This is what I think is gonna happen in the episode. We’re gonna see how the apocalypse started and where it originated from and we see a full on sprinting variant. Something you would see from left 4 dead like the common zombies how fast they run

It is hard to imagine an episode of a spin off series ends up as "the best episode of all time." He should have maybe said "one of the greatest of all time" or a "top 10 all time episode." Like you said, now there is a ton of pressure and everyone is going to focus on the finale. Even if something shocking happens like Carol dying, would a major death make it the best episode ever? I doubt it. It would take something really shocking plus maybe a crazy cameo (Rick?-doubtful).

​@@evap5036Exactly. Why would Carol's death be the best episode ever? Only a Carol hater maybe. Maybe Daryl finally kisses Carol and tells her he really meant "love" when he told her he loved her at the end of S11 ep 24. That would be a best episode for me, a Daryl & Carol shipper.

@@cindyspangler3982 OMG Yes! As I wrote above, one action and even unexpected plot twists are not enough. That's not enough to make the episode special. Only something unusual can make it the best. Perhaps there is something between the characters that will change their relationship, take the plot to a new level. And yes, I'm on your team, Carol and Daryl are forever

I don't think the final episode could be the best of The Walking Dead. I don't even think it's going to be in the top 10. It must be something out of the ordinary. There is not enough action and even an interesting plot for this. But I wonder why Norman isn't afraid to raise our expectations.

"The best episode ever" is really subjective to the individual fan. Some episodes became huge fan favorites, like "No Sanctuary", but thats rare. Each fan has their own wants and expectations from the stories and characters on what they would consider to be their favorite episode outcomes. Me? If Daryl & Carol finally admitted romantic feelings for each other, such as Daryl telling Carol he meant it when he told her her loved her in S11 ep24, that could be my fav all time episode. I've been waiting for 14 yrs for that. For someone else, it could be Carol getting killed off, or whatever. Its all about what the fans think is a best episode, not Norman really.

I doubt it will be the BEST ever but they must be doing something pretty big for him to say that...Maybe Genet unleashes an army of Variants on France amd that's why they have to leave for Spain? Has to be Variant related? Even if we got a Rick cameo it wouldn't make it the best ever??

I wish Norman would stop saying that. I am really excited about show but like you said I don’t think it’s going to be that good. Norman says stupid things all the time so I have learned to take it with grain of salt.
