@@shacquillefagan7674 40 eps are pretty standard in wuxia and xanxia serials but I don't think that's a rule... I watched a lot of costume dramas that have a wide range of set episodes over 40 and even less than 40... Also I don't think the ending was rushed since the production ended months before the official airing of the series... Funfact: C-Dramas usually finish filming and editing costume dramas months before the air-date. And unlike k-dramas they don't rush end the episodes if the viewership falls or the series runs into controversy. If it does get cancelled because of a controversy, at the very least, they will drop the entire series (like they did to the series Addicted) without any ending, resolution or context whatsoever. At worst, they will have a restraining order against the cast or staff crews involved in said controversy (like they did to Addicted's male leads) But that's like national level concern and not a common occurence in the industry... They usually get documents submitted to the board along with the proposal of the series they plan to air complete with details like how many episodes, storyline, overview etc., and of course real time monitoring so they will actually show the entire series as filmed and planned pre-prod. Unless the government or the Media board for censorship tells them to drop it.

@@notoyaarthur1990 i agree they did cut out scenes which must have been ones that didn't pass censorship and they had to somehow make it work to reach the same ending as intended... So rather than being a rushed ending, it's more of a patched ending after a lot of scenes got scrapped as director's cut by the monitoring body for media censorship. But I do get why people might feel it was rushed... 😂

It was an open ending, he didn't die. His spirit was cultivating inside that Scale. So the ending showed the possibility of his reincarnation. And according to Novel he came back after 1000year. He pretended to lose his memory and acted as someone else coz he was afraid he will harm his family but Susu got him back, and he reunited with his family. In the new arc he was the emperor and she became his empress and this time it was happily ever after! Wish they could hve shown us the beautiful reunion. But i am happy that our Tan TaiJin didn't die and got the happy ending he deserved though it was not shown in the series atleast the series showed he didn't die. So I want to be happy just with this info, yes he didn't die, yes our Tan Tai Jin won't suffer anymore 😭 but why can't the director show us atleast the scene he reunite with his family specially his daughter 😭😭😭😭😭 we fans deserve that after all buckets of tears we filled.

In episode 39 I think li susu was more like trying to read him. Li susu is smart.She knows that he is not behaving himself and lying to her. She seem to not believing his words and assessing his behavior , thoughts and emotions.. I think li susu has her own plans in between all the planing done by tantai jin.. Let's see how it ends in last episode.. I hope directors didn't turn her into a dumb and blind one in emotions as in the whole series she wasn't the one who's easy to get influenced by others and made her own decision based on her observation..or may be her actions should be different from tantai jin's plan atleast ( she should be shown atleast precieving the whole scenario in entirely different direction) .. Because li susu is the unpredictable one

Even after absorbing the whole devilish power and three artifact of ancient devil God, tantai jin's heart stayed pure and noble and didn't fall under the temptation of huge devil power inside his body... Tantai jin's love for li susu was so pure that he was determined to be the kind of person she likes till the end and don't let devil energy control his thoughts...
