the fact that joost was able to travel to the netherlands and even preform means it isnt a physical matter. what i expect is that joost pushed the camera to the side without much force because of him being harrased several times now. whatever the verdict is for me its not enough to DQ him

they said there was camera footage of what happened with Joost. If their decision was correct the footage would've been released already to 'cancel' Joost and get the crowd on their side. Yet, no footage has been released at all while they were actively filming him. There is footage somewhere but they don't want to show it, says enough.

This is coming from an American perspective. I think if somebody is recording you where they aren't suppose to be, and you ask multiple times for them to stop you still can't just punch them or physically attack them, but if that happened wouldn't he have been detained there and not allowed to leave? If you repeatedly tell somebody not to record you and you're in a place that is no recording I think you're perfectly within your rights to put your hand over the lenses, but some people might disagree on that. If you merely told somebody off verbally that's definitely not a disqualifying thing - especially when the other person is the one who wanted to have the confrontation in the first place and you just want them to leave you alone.

Thanks for that message, very insightful! I agree with you. They are saying she was stalking after his rehearsal in the concert arena where all artists perform so not so sure of how it works in those cases. But definitely what you are saying makes sense!

You don't need to be sceptical, even if he did something wrong. That woman was in the wrong for going against the agreements and harassing him like Papparazi. Also EBU should've protected their artists better to not let them be in this situation. But then again, we all know what the reason is why they got rid of him. Anyway, #FreeJoost

For me, it is not that I automatically trusted Joost, but there was so much more drame where the EBU was everything but trustworthy, so it makes me extremely sceptical towards anything the EBU says or does

@@the.embarrassingdiary Like we all know, only that woman (alleged victim) Joost (alleged perpetrator) and one of his female dancer were witnessing this close by....My 2 cents are "innocent until proven guilty" I think this will be a storm in a teacup! So I will monitor this close too....BUT if he did assaulted her then it was just!
