How can a population of 50 000 have the funds for a project this huge? How rich is Denmark and what's really going on under these islands for such huge infrastructure to be approved? Many questions.

Faroe Islands are paying for it, not Denmark. The Faroese government has paid some of it for themselves,, the rest is borrowed in the UK and USA, which is paid back over 16 years.
