People try to predict the economy not realising it is not a capitalistic market, its a command economy, central planning! my concern is, instead of having much dollar in bank that could lose value to inflation, do I save in gold to reserve and grow wealth for now, or just hang on?
@saraFinn-u6g23 күн бұрын
truth is that gold serves as an inflation hedge in the long run, but not profitable in the short run. only thing you can predict is a strong effort of wealth transfer from the people to the powerful. luckily some folks find solution in financial advisors

I wholeheartedly concur; I'm 60 years old, just retired, and have about $1,250,000 in non-retirement assets. Compared to the whole value of my portfolio during the last three years, I have no debt and a very little amount of money in retirement accounts. To be completely honest, the information provided by invt-advisors can only be ignored but not neglected. Simply undertake research to choose a trustworthy one.

Rate cuts by the feds can lead to lower returns on traditional savings and investments, often fueling inflation and eroding purchasing power. In such an environment, cryptocurrency can be a strong defense. Unlike fiat currencies, many cryptos have limited supply, making them less susceptible to inflation. As rate cuts drive investors to seek alternative stores of value, crypto’s decentralized nature and potential for growth make it an attractive option to preserve wealth and hedge against the negative effects of monetary policy. Thanks to Loraine Souvenir program, i've grasped trading concepts, boosting my earnings through her daily insights.

One element not ever mentioned in discussions is the relationship between the number of unemployed and the inflation rates. Example, if the interest rate on, everything, drops to a low point, very low, with many, I mean a lot many, without a job, living off their savings, will this situation be at the point where even at very low interest rates, nobody has any credit left or money in saving to buy anything. The question is will there still be inflation or stagflation?

Kai, great point, your guest is NOT understanding the true situation, inflation (the devaluation of the p dollar) currently running more near 25% not 2.5 to 3%, the 'now' interest rate has nothing to do with real return? The yard stick most misunderstand is they compare currency against currency, the Gold value in the 'spot' market is a far more true reflection of the devaluation of the dollar, i am a retired carpenter yet understand this simple fact, am surprised your guest seems oblivious? I think Ted does not understand the life of a given currency always goes, eventually, to ZERO, its just America is or has been able to string it out, but make no mistake we are closer to the end than at any other time in American history in my view, can't come soon enough in my opinion. Digital silver in a digital age, litecoin is a digital precious metal, not a security. Litecoin is the oldest coin on the market after bitcoin, since its inception in 2011. The scarcity of litecoin is the key feature of its technology. Everyone tends to flock to digital silver and digital gold, litecoin, and bitcoin, when things aren't going well. Litecoin is a decentralized digital commodity, just like bitcoin, but not even close so heavily concentrated in a few hands like bitcoin is. Both have Proof-of-Work consensus, and both have a limited supply of coins. Only that litecoin is lighter, swifter, and hugely undervalued against bitcoin. Litecoin (LTC) being a digital commodity provides a decent inflation hedge as well because there will be mined only a limited number of 84 million litecoins in total.
