Been riding super sports 20 years and have had all kinds. I have found that the 600’s are the best bang for your buck. You’ll never use the power of a liter on the street and if you do, you are not long for this world. And out of all the brands, I have found Honda to be the most comfortable and the easiest to handle in corners. And around 9-12,000RPM, it pulls identically to a liter bike. I totaled out my ‘18 CBR600RR last October. I’m finally getting another one tomorrow.

I agree with comfort. While yea, you could get a faster 600, can you ride it for hours without feeling like you need a new back? The hondas imo are the medium between fast and comfort.

I used to own a 2008 CBR600RR then I sold it and got myself a 2019 GSX-R 600. My old CBR is super light and much comfier and easier to ride than the GSX-R. On the other hand, I feel a lot more confident on the GSX-R while doing higher speeds because it's lower to the ground and the riding positing is more aggressive and probably that's why gixxer riders are known for being reckless. I loved my Honda but I had to sell it because the parts where I live are too expensive and Suzuki parts are dirt cheap. I live in Dubai and the rear wheel for my CBR600RR costs about $1,160 from the dealer and I can't trust used or Chinese wheels on my bike, The rear wheel for the 2019 GSX-R costs $470 from the dealer which is reasonable. and excuse my bad English

I own the model after this one. Never felt the need for a gear shift indicator because you literally can feel what gear you're in. The HESD saved my ass a couple of times which i love that it comes with stock. Fitted a full exhaust/headers and the sound and power is even better. Overall cannot complain, no problems. It also feels agile in corners and when you lean over it feels solid. Edit:Also the redline is at 15500

You don’t really need a gear indicator on any bike to be honest. Sure it’s a good feature at first, but as you get familiar with your bike you start to recognize what gear you’re in based on speed and revs. After that it becomes pretty redundant.

I probably try to shift into 7th ~3 times a week because my bike is still a bit new to me. That's about the worst thing that can happen to you from not knowing what gear you are in and its utterly harmless. It's always pretty easy to tell when you've gotten down into first, and for all the rest you just grab a gear in the direction you need. Simple. All that said, when I ride a bike with a gear indicator I think, "Oooh, it has a gear indicator." Heh.

@crpth1
@crpth1 Жыл бұрын
I got to experience "the wobble" more than 20 years ago. Only once, riding at a bit more than 190 km/h, on a really tall bridge, of all the places! I was caught completely by surprise. As it started when the bike hit an expansion joint of the bridge. Beside the wobble effect, I veered a couple lanes. Getting extremely close to the edge of the said bridge. The perspective of flying down some 50 meters. didn't help in that experience, at all. All in all the near death experience, was not only a lesson well learned. But also one to never forget. ;-)

When I turned 16, I bought myself a 1975 Honda 400f Super Sport, it was a 4 cylinder. I put a Kerker header on it. It was fun riding to school on it. Boy, the girls were loving me. Ha ha ha, watching this makes me want to get another bike. Ride safe. Later, Thumbs up.

I own & purchased new my 03 CBR600RR in red & black & 2013 CBR600RR Tri Color identical to the bike in this vid, this week I picked up a fantastic 1990 CBR600F Hurricane which IS THE OG 600 super sport. My 2003 600RR’s power is ALL up top, the ‘13 RR is a bit more rounded out, the 1990 Hurricane would be an excellent choice for a beginner rider though I’m noticing over the last week since I picked it up that it’s a fairly sought after "classic”, I got lucky & was acquainted with it’s original owner which purchased it when he was stationed at Camp Lejeune NC & was well kept.

DANNGG OKIES 🤣 you clearly know nothing about me or what I have, what I’ve ridden, and for how long I’ve worked on (professionally) and modified all types of motorcycles. But hey, none of that changes the relevance of my original comment. No one needs a gear position indicator. If they think they do, they aren’t much of a rider. 🤣

Graeme Cross I looked at your channel before commenting. All I see are slow bikes. You can be whoever you want. I just take your word for it. Don’t like Starbucks but I sure do love me a gear indicator. Not because I’m slow but I like to have it just like a fuel gauge. My bike has neither.

I had the 05' black/titanium cbr1000rr. Great reliable bike. I got rid of it because i got blown around in the 20mph wind gusts too much and didn't feel planted to the ground. Ended up with a Busa and that made a world of difference with stability and no trigger happy throttle. Busa isn't heavy for me as im used to Harleys and the Busa weighs only about what a little sportster weighs. I have a Busa and a StreetGlide now. If you like the cbrs, get one. If i had to go back to a liter bike i would probably get the R1 only because of the sound from the cross plane motor after changing up the exhaust. All 4 Japanese companies are reliable. Good luck.

I'm a Kaw man, but when I was growing up, even during the years that Ninjas ran the table, I always had respect for Hurricanes (old school CBR's), Gixxers & FZR's. Everybody was making good bikes back then. Bikes were so raw back then. They were just basically detuned track bikes.

I've owned Honda motorcycles since the mid-1970s. My "baby" back then was a very tricked out 400-4. I was in the military back then until the 1990s. I spent most of my time deployed and bikes were cheaper to store and insure. For a young service man, bikes made sense for me. I bought my 1st bike at age 10. It was a Puch 125 and I was in love. I've had a bike ever since then, always. I've gone through a lot of bikes in my life, but I'm still riding. My cruiser is a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero. At 750 cc it's a great bike for me, with or without my beautiful wife sitting on the back. Now, she wants me to ride a lighter bike now that I'm over 60. Who me? Buy another bike? Over course, Babe. I'm thinking this bike is what she had in mind.

I have the 1st gen cbr 600rr a 2006 model. Bought it completly totaled out slapped a new motor in it and went from there. I have never been on a honda ive allways rode a r6 or 636 or the tt triumph 600. My first thought about the honda was wow it sits tall and its thin and very light weight. After 1 day of riding it i cant go back to any other bike. The handling and speed and how nimble it is is amazing. My only issue is last weekend i raced 3 bikes and the hard shift from 2nd to 3rd made the front end wobble so hard the entire bike began to wobble. At 135mph i almost lost it and went down. Definitely recommend a stearing stablizer for the honda cbr 600rr.
