Correction: The Messiah was not a Jew, as he was NOT a practitioner of the religion, Judaism. Also, though he was of the tribe of Judah, it was not known as that in his time. Jesus would not look like the people living in the land. He was a pure ethnic Israelite from the tribe of Judah. Only 42,360 Judeans returned to the lamd from Babylon.
