You enjoyed Virgin Hotel? I haven't stayed there but everytime I've gone there it's been completely dead, most of their tables were closed, they still don't have a sports book and they charge strip prices while been way too far from the strip.

Virgin rooms are clean and spacious and nice. So is the property however it’s pretty dead there and no sportsbook.

@@pat3464 It wasn’t that dead when we went last month (June), but I know what you’re sayin. It’s not as crowded as the other hotels, but that’s what I liked about it. I played slots, so I didn’t get to play at any of the tables, but they did only have one section open. We loved the room, and the restaurants. Especially Kassi Beach House, which is my new favorite brunch spot. We also went to Elia Beach Club where we had a blast. I enjoyed my stay there, but I wouldn’t stay there for more than 2 nights.

We were just at the linq! I love the feel of that hotel. We had to cope with sticker shock and we had trouble with our rewards deals and comps. It’s strange to see all the little kids on the strip..idk why people would bring a bunch of kids or toddlers there. I don’t judge, I just don’t get it and it feels weird to party Vegas style with a bunch of 6 year old around. Just my 2 cents.

I just got back from a trip to Vegas, I stayed at the Flamingo 7/7-7/10. I had a blast!! I stumbled on your channel when I got back and I am in love!! Thank you for very detailed videos. I lived in Vegas 10 years ago and stayed in a lot of hotels on the strip back then so it’s nice to see some old memories and some of the updated rooms!

We have been staying there for 12 years all the way back to the Imperial palace days through the quad and now The Linq. The staff is friendly. Feels like home.

Las Vegas is one of my hobbies. I’ve been traveling to Vegas every year since 1965, lived in the city in 1980, and have relocated now for good. You are the best of the Strip and Downtown content. You need to move here and do the local scene on your channel. It would be epic! Keep up the great work. Not sure how you afford it, but we all appreciate it.

Great vid...your room looks updated. Mine was a different layout..not as nice...and had a conecting door. It was like staying in a dorm..so noisy. The pool deck gets VERY hot...don't forget sandals!

Even if you're not a sports bettor like me, you should consider doing a quick run through the Sportsbooks on your Vegs videos. I think the one at the Linq has a pretty cool layout. Love your contect. Great job as always!

I stayed one night there 18 years ago when it was called Imperial Palace and it was horrid. It was actually a motor inn casino and you self parked right outside the door. Exhaust fumes wafted under the door which actually improved the smell of the room. The mattresses could have been Super 8 rejects. Glad to hear it’s improved. Hard to get much worse

See, I want "young-ish, casual, fun" but with a little more of the signature Vegas lux and goofy "theme" schtick. This place looks real cool. I love all that sorta lava lamp style lighting you showcased, and some of the restaurants sound great. But it also seems sorta like a mall rather than a resort. And that pool...so small and so packed with people. Is there a middle ground somewhere in Vegas?

You've made my Sunday, a Vegas trip wouldn't be complete without a Coolist video. After watching this I'll be going to LINQ after a cruise in Oct. for my Bday. James, thank you! I can't express how your videos have changed me and my GFs outlook on travel. I'm 39 and she is 43, we won't be having kids and the second half of 2022 will be filled with travel thanks to your videos. Another superlative Coolist review. The production and presentation are unparalleled. After your review I will definitely stay at the Linq...and yes, I'm over 45. Not a fan of any music at pools, but I can go elsewhere if I want to. Glad that you pointed out the location, and proximity to the Promenade. I see no reason that you shouldn't accept comps. Your history illustrates your coherent, unbiased and honest take on these properties.

I’m over 45 (lol) but the Linq area is where I spend most of my time, I either stay at the Flamingo or the Linq. I can be there for days without leaving the promenade. My favorite spot on the strip; hands down!

Awesome review James! Including the Linq promenade, this was probably the best property refresh without doing a complete tear down. Combined with Flamingo and Harrahs, this is a great option for casual dining and gaming.

Fantastic video. I have been a Caesars Total Rewards Diamond member for years, and have stayed in every Vegas property except the Linq. But on my upcoming trip in 3 weeks, I will be staying for the first time at this hotel, since they fully comped me a King Suite for 7 nights. It is a much bigger room, and for free, it certainly can't be beat. Looking forward to staying there for the first time. And that Favorite Bistro is absolutely on my list for breakfast, Happy Hour, etc. I looked at the menu, and it looks awesome. Thanks for this video!!

Agree. I am not the age cohort they seek and would not like to stay there.....recall the Imperial Palace and their Nazi car out front. That said, a trip doesn't go by without visiting the Linq. Love the spa. Love Hash House, playing slots there is fun. Love the promenade and usually find desert (Giradelli) or visit the candy store. Will skip all the cocktails. How did you skip the High Roller? Day or night. Skip the happy half hour and bring your drink from the bar downstairs.

I love that most of the food places are fairly reasonable and taste good at the linq. I’ve also walked past flour and barley so many times and never eaten there. Glad you reviewed it because the pizza looked great.

Stay last December; I think you nail it. It is a great base out and easy to walk around many casinos. The wife and I, the 55+ club, agreed on it for 45 and below, but it worked for us.

Stayed at the linq in 2020. The room was so-so and so was the gaming floor. The promenade was pretty cool and the hash house was great.

Fun fact...the night Star Ttrk the next generation aired a young woman fell off one of the 16th floor and landed on the pool deck.....as for that..we used to call the jacuzzi the McQuade memorial hot tub for th vagrant that we found dead in it!!

When this was Imperial Palace, this place was borderline dump. My friend from work ALWAYS stayed here. I did acquire one of those $200 / 12 ounce .999 fine silver gaming tokens here when it was I P ! One of the few hotels on the strip that I have not stayed at.

Just spent a 50th w my 6 buddies...guys trip...it was a great location...The Carnival right outside is awesome for some late night vibes and within walking distance back to room. Did go to the Flamingo Go Pool as well which was not even halfway down the Promenade. Great place in deed...the Mexican restaurant inside is just as amazing...great video.

Great looking property and great location. Worst elevator situation in Vegas by far. Prepare for long waits. Also, cell phone service is horrible unless on resort Wi-fi.

They sure did spend millions on the Link to make it what it is now. The hotel itself use to be "The Imperial Palace" which was terrible, but now with everything surrounding it and linked to other casinos it sure is a hip hop place. 😉

I love the LinQ, I've never stayed there proper but I spend a lot of time there whenever I go to Vegas. The Chicken and Waffles at Hash House A-Go-Go is always my go to breakfast/brunch dish, also I've been to Favorite on my last trip and I loved their escargot.
