The man who punched a kangaroo is coming under fire after his actions went viral. Greig Tonkins is reportedly an elephant keeper at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Australia. Emma Dallimore, a reporter with Australia's Channel 7 News, told Inside Edition people are outraged. There was no need to threaten the guys job but that kangaroo wasn't having a fuking bath, you don't ever see them prancing around in ponds willingly. It was driven in their by a dog that wouldn't leave it alone, it doesn't have jaws and teeth to protect itself, it used what it had. If he had just backed away after the dog got loose, the Roo would have let it go, like his mate called out from the ute for him to do. Kangaroo was gripping the dog to stop its attack. The dog was still and so the roo should still, he only started kicking at the dog again, when the guy approached and the dog tried to get free.

I could care less about anyone's feelings. If my dog is in trouble i'll help or save him. And i know a lot of people sometimes say that a person is dumb and they should have avoided the situation, that they shouldn't have handled a curtain way. But: 1.Unless you where there and knew saw what was going on and knew in what kind of mood a person is (because depending on how someone's day went and what was going on in there head does influence there decisions) you shouldn't jump to conclusions. 2. Dude reacted in the moment. And if it was me i would have probably walked away after the kangaroo let the dog loose as to not aggrivate it, but for a kangaroo that would be wrong apparantly.

@@SCM955 the punch might have been necessary actually. Wild animals can see running away as a sign of weakness and then they may go into attack mode when they think you’re weak. Sometimes you have to stand your ground believe it or not. I think the punch possibly proved to the kangaroo that the guy isn’t to be messed with and then they both just backed off after that.
