Awesome cars, lucky to have a GR yaris now but these still compare very well. I actually quite liked the hoover sound OEM exhaust

I love my 2015 rs265, facelift cup model. Mine has a simple computer flash tune, which brought power at the wheels up from 160 Wheel KW to 200 wheel KW, so probably about 320hp at the flywheel. Torque jumped up 100nm over factory spec on the dyno. And apart from brake pad and fluid upgrades it still completely factory, yet absolutely anihilates on track days... I pass GR Corollas and Yaris, Evos and Subi etc. Even keep up with full cage stripped out track cars. It's my daily. They're super easy to work on (with the right tools) and service and parts aren't that expensive. Fun, simple and truckloads of smiles per mile! Hoping to mod it a bit in the future but I don't think it'll need much.

Me and my friend bought two stock RS265's - 19's, Recaros. I left mine in stock tune, he chipped his to ~300hp. It was a track monster but stock tune was nicer to drive on the road.
@WimHovens13 күн бұрын
@@iamspyvspy3077 Yeah thats the beauty of the RS modes, on Normal it's still drives really nice, similar to factory specs, on Sport its the better tune but still quite restricting with the traction control and on Race it unleashes the beast :) Unfortunately with the tune average mileage jumps up a bit... 11 litres average per 100kms. (factory they're about 8 I think)

For 5k these are a seriously tempting proposition… and in the right hands, there isn’t much keeping up with one on a tight b road

Great video! How does this compare to the mk8 Fiesta ST, in terms of steering, playful handling, and overall driving?
@FastandFun3 ай бұрын
@@MM-jl1ws I loved the mk8 ST and for a modern hot-hatch it takes some beating. But you can’t get one for the price of a Megane RS250 and the steering feel in the mk8 still can’t surpass that of the Megane RS.

The hot hatch for the mortal driving connessiur. Pretty sure the yanks will want them all, they never got them. Only 30k sold globally inc the less loved sport chassis, so maybe 75% left. Canadian 15Y rule somewhat unlocks them from next year.

After having 15 mins driving your car around Anglesey GP Circuit, out of the box from factory fun can't be bought at Megane RS Cup money anywhere else, you only have to look at R26R prices the original FWD Factory Ring Record Hero's prices now to see where the best of the early 250 Cups are going.

@@thepenetrator2006 that’s because on the road much above 300bhp is wasted (unless you’re willing to take big risks which I’m not). In the dry on a twisty b-road my Meg RS250 would be just as quick as either my R8 or STI. All from a car that’s only worth c. £5k!
