Since the law in force does not allow the death penalty in this case maybe the citizens should take action to have the law changed. That will at least correct the result in future situations. Complaining does nothing no matter how justified the emotions are. Possibly the law could be amended to allow illegal entry into the country to be a factor in allowing the death penalty in these types of cases.
