I'm a huge Spurs fan, but if they only have a projected 30-52 record next year, other teams won't be "terrified" of them. I hope that Victor stays healthy long enough for the Spurs to build a championship team around him.

What people are forgetting is that this same team won 22 games last year and only added 1 rookie. Do you think they were throwing games? Only 1 person was injured and that was Devin. Adding Wemby isn't making anyone scared when he's surrounded by guys that are backups on any other team in the league. Its 3 or 4 guys that really are in future plans. None of them are Tre Jones

The Spurs lost several games on purpose last year. They also sat players. They were tanking to get Wemby. Now they have Wemby. Add him to KJ, Vassell, Sochan, Branham, Collins, Champ, Mamu, and Barlow. GO SPURS GO.

From my experience the journey to greatness in a long, harsh and diserved is much more enjoyable than an immediate rise to the top. When you long for each victory, the process teach patience, high and lows and greater reward at the end. San Antonio Spurs dynasty will happen again and patience will be your greatest virtue and provide a greater reward.

I don't think that anyone has "given up" on KJ. The problem is he doesn't have a spot in the starting lineup with Collins, Wemby, Vassell, Sochan and Jones pretty much penciled into the starting lineup. But I feel like KJ will still get his minutes, if not even more, playing off the bench where he can go up against other team's second string players against whom he should do better on D, and better on offense than last year. He was always at a disadvantage playing against bigger players at PF and SF. I think they'll pencil him into his natural position at SG instead where he should thrive against smaller players both on O and D, not to mention they'll be mostly second stringers as well. I look for a career year from him off the bench, maybe even be in contention for 6th man of the year.
@TheNetworkUnderground
@TheNetworkUnderground Жыл бұрын
@@lildpropmsv Yeah being a starter on a spurs team doesnt mean a whole lot. Minutes get spread all over the place, we have bench players that get more minutes than starters at times. The only thing that matters are the match ups. I also think a lot of people disregard the talent of a lot of these guys because they played horribly last year. individually we had a ton of players with great play. The team did not win. That is something that does not happen on a pop led team, unless there is a reason. Think about that, tre ones was 4:1 assist to turnover on a really bad team... that is incredible. What will these guys look like when they start playing as a team the right way? Pop was super patient with everyone this year, I think it was less to do with being patient with young guys and more to do with just letting them play, learning about their strengths and weaknesses, and letting them fail on their own. They came out of the gate playing some very pretty basketball, then suddenly pop stops calling timeouts every time someone screws up, he isn't yelling as much, the team work looks like hell, the L's are rolling in. I think they got to have some fun, and learned some valuable things last season, i am super excited for how this team looks after 20 or so games of playing together. I will make my prediction now, 2W, 18L in the first 20 games. by the end of the season they will be around or a bit above .500. Somewhere around 40-45 wins. We will make the play-in, no idea how it goes from there. We have a very versatile team with a cunning coach, but we lack any playoff experience from our players. No idea how a playoff series would turn out.

6:54 I totally agree with this and I think it is for the better. A lot of people think it is bad for Wemby if he just averages 10-15 pts per game but Spurs play by moving the ball and not like LeBron teams with one ball dominant player and everybody else spaces out. Most people want Wemby to play like that but that is not Spurs basketball and not the most fitting style of play given the current roster. Not hating on LeBron btw.

A few concerns on defense. Can Wemby defend the 4, is Jeremy a Tweener or can he develop into a sf. Who starts between Vessell, Keldon, Jeremy and Zach. I'd bring Zac of the bench. If they want Wemby to play 4 full time, they'll need to move pcs for a defensive 5/4. I'd offer jeremy/ Bratley to Detroit for Hayes/Wiseman. Detroit future starters Cade, Ivey, Thompson, Jeremy Duren. Spurs Future Starters Tre, Vasselll, Keldin,Wemby, Wiseman

Tre has to start? That’s wild… from everything I heard and seen people say “he’s a good backup PG”… and you’re saying he has to start? He isn’t Jason Kidd. Tre doesn’t make them better, he just doesn’t hurt them too much for an undersized guard that can’t shoot well. So explain to me why he has to start? Because he doesn’t turn the ball over a lot.
@baconbits3731
@baconbits3731 Жыл бұрын
Don’t hate on me but a lot of good is going to come out if Sochan comes off the bench. Tre, Vassell, Keldon, Sochan and Wemby is like the anti small ball lineup and will be the lineup that will most likely be used during a tight game in the 4th quarter. It is for the good of if the opponent won’t get used to it. Also as the best defender on the team who will most likely guard the best player on the opposing team, that player not getting a rhythm on playing against Sochan during the first quarter also has its advantages and also Sochan won’t be tired in the 4th quarter during crucial moments. Having the Grant Williams role would be good for Sochan and for the Spurs defense. Also it would be interesting to see if the Spurs use Collins similar to how the Bucks use Brook Lopez in drop coverage and Wemby as the help defender like Giannis.

Tre is a true point guard who will set the table for everyone else and whose quickness is under rated. The gravity that wemby will create is perfect for a point guard like tre
@jaywann28
@jaywann28 Жыл бұрын
@@shaneweston2377 the fact that we even have to think if he should start is the reason he shouldn't. Tre isn't a great shooter so the gravity doesn't matter and he's not great finishing around the basket either. If Tre was the PG of the future and starter quality It'd'd be no question and the Spurs would have given him a different contract. I think you're talking about what YOU want but it's not supported by reality. Tre is ok, but he's a leader of a second unit and that's it.
