Gilbert Arenas was right that Jokic did not become a super mega-star after winning the title. On the other hand, Arenas had no idea his condescension was completely misplaced and he was defeating his argument at the very moment he was making it. Jokic never wanted to become a super mega-star before or after winning the title. That's something ARENAS would have wanted, because for Arenas, respect is a commodity. Win the title, people respect and admire you, even if you don't act respectably or your behavior isn't admirable. Jokic wants to play basketball until Denver is eliminated or wins the title, then he wants to go home to Serbia to be with his horses and his family. The only reason the guy is in America is to play basketball. The man prefers to be home in Serbia. Let that sink in. He looks at basketball as his job, and his work ethic tells him he may as well do it the best he can. Why do they hate him? Because he beclowns them. Jokic's passing ability makes American players look helpless and foolish. Misdirection and ball deception is a huge part of his game. No-look passes, behind the back, over the shoulder, bounce passes that start out looking like just a dribble, passes that start out looking like a shot. He fools them. These puffed-up, self-serious American players, he makes them look stupid. He embarrasses them. That's why they hate him. That's why Arenas hates him, too. Arenas knows who he is. He's basketball's Stepin Fetchit, putting out his hot takes and playing the clown before anyone can call him that, because everyone is thinking it. This guy ruined his career with injuries and pointing guns at his teammates. He knows a "boring" player like Jokic is going to be remembered for a lot longer than his abortion of a career.

If we want to be honest, he already won that one more MVP. The only problem is that those who decide decided not to award him that well-deserved MVP. They generally said that publicly before it was decided. They themselves gave the reason why they WON'T give him that MVP. And that is, in that case, according to them, he would rank among the greatest NBA American stars of all time. This is what they simply could not allow. So with their actions, they devalued the MVP institution, which is why it is no longer as important and valuable as it once was, except for the American media and some American fans of the NBA. So, as far as the MVP is concerned, it was never particularly important to Jokić, and after that procedure of those who decide on the MVP, neither to many basketball fans. above all in Europe, and the rest of the world.

Some good points, but a few flaws... 1) You cannot extrapolate anything from merely 10 games! Even whether he will continue on that pace: & shortly after this video came out, Jokic took off 3 games re: the Serbian tradition for the birth of a son. Not that I fault him, but... 2) You must see how OTHER of the best years started over 10 games if you want to make a valid comparison. I am sure you will find some guys who started even stronger: the smaller the sample size, the greater the extremes in performance-since things tend to regress to the mean. 3) One reason anyone may never be able to produce a "best season ever" is due to limited minutes. You simply cannot put up the greatest/most raw numbers-or even in some advanced stats measuring total value like Win Shares & Value over Replacement player, if you do not have the time. Best years in the past started well over 3000 minutes, went to over 3.5, 3.6 K-in the case of Wilt, north of 3.8 4) Joker like everyone is treated to load management! He only played 69 games a couple years ago to specifically rest him for the playoffs. Last year was his most minutes ever-& that was just 2,737. Everyone plays than in Days of Yore-which was not very long ago! It was a little ridiculous to even ask if a coach should apologize to a player when he approached 40 minutes in a game! Unless a condition subjects a player to a high risk of injury, of course averaging about 10 minutes for four, 12 minute quarters-especially a highly trained athlete with access to the best training & recovery... Should be considered routine.

Advertisers aren't used to basketball players like Jokic. Only one baby mama, no music videos or cartoonish movies, he races horses instead of the state police, and the nearest camera isn't a factor. He's even a role model of humility. I'll be surprised if LeBron doesn't ask Trump to deport him.

Arenas is a bit racist I think.

1:30 Why do you keep saying "one of the greatest CENTERS ever" instead of one of the greatest PLAYERS ever???

What amazes me, is guys like Austin Rivers who is nothing but a regular bum, have the audacity to comment and put down Jokic even tho he played with him. Well, sit down Austin, you can't even clean his shoes. This guy is a beast and you or your daddy couldn't reach his level in a million years! What bothers them is that Joker is actually just a regular family guy, not looking to be liked or worshipped, unlike you. And I can understand why that bothers you, but c'mon, comparing you to him is like comparing instant noodles to a wagyu steak. Joker is the real deal and you better deal with it.

They hate him for three reasons. 1,He's white. 2,He's foreign. 3,He's the best to ever play. All jealousy.

Kakav apsurd.

Play is imagination, like a child who plays while learning for life. The problem is that life is anything but child's play, the imagination and benevolence of a child must, in the process of growing up, turn into the automatism of a system, which is unimaginative and evil. RIP - John Taylor Gatto.

Yup. Whoever knows anything about basketball, watches still nba because of Jokic. And Doncic. Thats what basketball is all about. Especially Jokers play. Nobody cant guard the guy, because he is pure basketball artist. You may be Shaq, strong. You may be Wilt long. But boy no one does it like this guy. Whoever doesnt want to admit that, I'm really sorry than for your basketball knowledge and rip. 😂😂

Lets be honest, NBA and WNBA has isssue: race, fact noone talk about because first to do so is done, with commentating or whatever job they have...Luka put 73pts show, Shaq will only say: "he aint that bad"...

Jealousy and envy hurt-A LOT....Add discrimination to that and there you go... Simple. Americans just cant accept the fact that some guy from Serbia is better than all of their all star american players. And he is. Its real. And Its a fact. Americans think that they are the best in everything, including all sports-so wrong on so many levels-its insane

Their teams are full of blacks, they should be grateful for this white guy and cheering him on. No one can look at those blacks and feel pattiotism, lol Nikola is more American than them
