As an O’s fan since I was 7, which was 1987, I can tell you that the Wieters and Rutschman comparison is like apples to oranges. I love Wieters and always rooted for him. However, because of Angelos, he was looked at as the lone savior of that organization because they didn’t invest in their farm system then. Heavy load to carry. Rutschman has so much talent behind him that this looks like a true surge of O’s magic.

Adley was supposed to break camp with the big league team, but he got injured in spring training

Now four weeks later then are in first, 8-2 last ten games and best record in American League and first team to hit 70 wins in American League

Great video but Adley was hurt in 2022 spring training and spent the first part of the season injured then went on a rehab stint to begin the season. If he wasn't hurt he would have broken camp with the team. Since the MLB added incentives for teams to bring up top prospects with draft picks. His service time wasn't manipulated because he finished 2nd in rookie of the year voting granting him a full season.

I loved Matty and really think if him, Davis and Machado were healthy in 2014 there’s no way they don’t win the Series that year.
@CharmCityGamer Жыл бұрын
Ah Matty, I thought he was gonna be like a 10-time all-star but maybe, just maybe, Adley can be that with proper development. Thanks for the video!

Yeah they rushed Matt to the majors… Just like they did Ben McDonald….

Wieters was as solid as they come. He was our best player when we were a bad team. If he were on this team today then all of his stats would be 10% to 15% greater. I could visualize Wieters and Rutschman being good teammates together

Baseball is better when teams like Baltimore, Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Oakland are contenders. However they fix the game, it should be done in a way that keeps all markets competitive. A luxury tax doesn't work when you have owners willing to accept their penalty, and other owners who are content to pocket their share of MLB profits rather than reinvest it in the team. You need a cap AND a floor to restore balance. Unfortunately, it will never happen because the players union is too powerful to allow it. But glad to see the Orioles succeeding by building the team right - by out-scouting and out-developing competitors. Kudos to the organization...

Adley was hurt to start his rookie season and he didn’t get a triple in his first AB, it was his first hit.

I really enjoyed this video, and not just because I am an O's fan. Good vibes is a good name, the vibes come through in your voice and presentation. Great editing, too! Only small criticism, Adley's first AB wasn't a triple. It was his first hit, and his first game, but not the first AB. Hope you keep making them, though! Keep up the good work!

That Wieters Washington walk-off was also the start of the Orioles downfall. they actually had a pretty good record going into that game.
@nicholaswachter1974 Жыл бұрын
I believe they were like 22-10 in early May and best record in the game. All downhill from there.

@@nicholaswachter1974 weirdly poetic that Wieters started their descent

Being a Giants fan it looks like Rutschman is y’all’s Posey while Bart became our Wieters. Which is interesting because Bart and Wieters both went to Georgia Tech.

Chris Hoiles is still the best Orioles catcher so far but Aldey has that talent. Sadly, despite being an underdog story, Hoiles has mostly been forgotten by baseball and Birdland

Bust? He was a good catcher and a solid batter. He was the best player on a bad team. I'll say he was the slowest runner I've ever seen 😅

No Offense, but before the Angelo’s betrayed the fan base, Baltimore was a top 5 or 10 team in wealth. So the argument that fans put them with the likes of Pittsburgh, or Oakland doesn’t float. I love Adley. Dude is going to lead the Orioles to heights the franchise hasn’t seen since the 1980$. Dude is Buster Posey all over again…and that’s awesome.

Wieters was good….. Rutschman is great… There’s really no comparison between the two…. Wieters was okay, was an All Star.. But he was never what I’d call great….. At least in MLB.

That’s the point of the video... Wieters was SUPPOSED to be a stud, but it didn’t work out, now Adley is killing it. For me, this is what Wieters was supposed to do for the Orioles back then, and it sucked not seeing Wieters succeed... 😎
