Why the PC DOS version of MK3 is better than the Arcade

I actually first played MK3 on the PC, so for me it wins on nostalgia alone ;)

I knew there was a sound quality difference on the home consoles but never knew about this.

And what about MKT for dos/windows9.x? was that also had good quality like MK3?

Unfortunaltey not. I remember getting it for Christmas and it was such a letdown... graphics were worse in resolution than the MS-DOs version of MK3 (unless you had a particular 2MB VGA card) the AI difficulty was nuts and all the soundtracks were shortened and many of them slowed down.... The only place where MKT onthe PC fares better thans the PS or Saturn counterpart is the faster loading.
