Sorting out the middle is the biggest problem. A top nrl half would make nil difference without go forward and souths haven't rectified that with an enforcer for 2025

What's his defensive abilities like? He won't get as much time when running at the line in the NRL. Looks exciting on the highlights anyway.

He was tripe last night against hull kr he was nowhere to be seen out one decent ball out for welsby try that's about it, I wouldn't say he's in the top 3 half backs in super league, so I can't imagine him having much of an affect at souths in the nrl

​@@ryanmcguinness7898 I agree he's not one of the best halfs in the league but he's still young and has a lot of qualities that could make him a good signing for SSR The styles of the leagues are different and that could work in his favour - he was superb in the WCC a couple of years back

He’s overated. A distant 3rd behind Harry Smith and Mikey Lewis over here. Since he got the drop goal against Penrith his head grew twice the size and he went missing for Saints. He was so bad last season he was dropped from the squad for a number of games. He promised so much but his kicking game is ineffective, he doesnt take on the line and just passes the buck to oncoming runners. Maybe Wayne Bennett knows what he’s doing or possibly dementia is setting in.
