I could listen to these stories all day. Sunny, please interview some older folk who can tell us about their experiences as refugees and the mobilisation to support the RPF and eventually moving back to Rwanda.

As a muganda from Masaka, I feel proud listening to you. My key highlights; 1. Just like there’s no Ugandan tribe in Rwanda, there can’t be a Rwandan tribe in Uganda. You can either be a Mufumbira, assimilate or affiliate to one of the tribes. Gashumba should take a leaf. 2. I think you will find the name calling in any society you immigrate into. The most important thing is finding a community that is welcoming, which the Baganda were able to do. That said, I thank you Gerald.

Ofcourse on the issue of being assimilated by a community, is always common phenomenon for any person moving into new areas. Negotiating for survival, learning new languages, prejudices and finally coping up

I'd really love to have an insight on an overall treatment of the then Banyarwanda from Ankore and Buganda,as in how both regions treated them.

But calling you mupakasi is a right name, not bad. The Arabs call us Kadama / nani it's very okay. The Baganda are very good people in fact no community in Uganda is as welcoming as them

I’m thinking how much you can financially contribute to a national cause when you are in employment yourself.

Be clear on how you got the passport bse the interviewer always asks the tribe. Did u get it as Mufumbira or u assimilated to other tribes. You have not answered the qn well

Whenever you speak, u put narrative as if there no rwandese in Uganda, the occupants of present day kigeze especially kisoro, ntungano are banyarwanda
