This was a very sound well done forecast. I would like to add. After watching Trevor Penning & Andrus Peat get their first action this season, the Saints offensive line will be one of the best, if not the best in football this season. Couple that with their league best defensive line & they will rule the LOS in probably every game this year. That & Can't Guard mike being back 100% which he is, makes this team possibly the best Saints team ever.

Yes, They lost Armstead who is a great player but he only played 8 games last season and has always had injuries. His replacement Hurst held up fine in his absence and they drafted the highest graded o line men so far in the preseason for depth at the position with a PFF grade of 92 so far. Sean Peyton’s play calling was hyper conservative towards the end imo and I think he’s a great coach but Brees had a ton to do with that. Mike Thomas has looked absolutely perfect in camp and practice so saying he’s not the same is purely conjecture. The team has arguably the deepest WR group in the league and definitely the deepest secondary. Losing Williams and Jenkins actually led to an upgrade at both safety spots and CD Duece is completely forgotten by the pundits he’s Mathieu 2.0 . Mathieu, Maye, CD, Adebo, Lattimore and an absolute stud rookie in Taylor. This team won 9 games with four different Quarterbacks and had the most players start at 53 because of injury. To say the Saints went backwards this off-season is non sense. They went from the worst WR room to one of if not the best. The edge rushers in Peyton Turner and Davenport have made huge strides in play. The only position group that might have taken a step back is the oline and as I said before looks like a exaggeration. The NFC has taken a massive step backwards in talent and the NFC south is worse than ever. The Bucs are dealing with massive injury issues on the oline and nagging injuries to WR so to automatically crown them NFC south champs when they are 1-5 vs the saints is jumping the gun. Sooner than later time will catch up to Brady especially if his o-line and Wrs continue have injury issues this early in the season.

What? I wouldn't say Bucs were "stacked" when Winston was there. Far from it. This Saints team is way better than any group Winston ever played with at Tampa...by far.

I think your selling oline a little short they lost Andrus peat who is a multi time pro bowler last year in week 5 they get him back healthy and ryan ram(can’t spell his last name) dealt with knee injury all last year but was 1st team all pro the year before, the loss of terron armstead is overrated because he’s a good player but they would have resigned him if they get more than 10 games a season out of him he missed over half of last year they also have a top 10 center, not saying they’ll dominate but healthy they should be average at worst The saints ceiling defensively is that there the best in the NFL the league best run defense last year and a top 5 secondary that has number 1 potential Offensively even Mike isn’t what he was in 2019 which he probably won’t be due to sharing targets…teams still have to respect him and draws teams best corners and sometimes get rolled coverage…I think it’s reaching to ask Jarvis Landry to be your number 1 WR like he’s been all his career but he’s gonna be the number 3 teams really won’t be able to scheme against him but honestly the offense won’t have to do much with what they have defensively if there middle of the pack they should win 12 games at least which should when the division because Tampa schedule is tuff and they matchup with Tampa across they board and they have gotten a little worse I think people underage the saints because they still hold on to the narrative from 2019 with Winston even tho he’s obviously a different player…and then the addition Jarvis laundry and Honey badger at this point in there careers are viewed as aging players and people believe they’ll have no impact but the saints were already talented there not asking for those players be vocal points on their respective sides of the ball like they were before they just need them to fill in and provide leadership In my opinion they have an argument they are the best team in the NFC but we’ll see come January

The nation is definitely overlooking this team. They won 9 games last year with 4 different QBs and the most starts at 53 due to injury. The weakest WR room in the league. I cannot put into words how much better the Wrs and Secondary is very very loaded. Winston is a lot better than he gets credit for given TB’s roster when he was there . People forget when Brady went there 11 players were added and a total revamp of the oline. I’m’ glad the national media has totally wrote us off. It’s going be fun watching them eat crow.
