The silence on the TV show is the most unusual thing. Video games always get delayed, have setbacks and what not. That's always happened. But the TV show...I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. When shows are announced (especially for streaming services) they usually are upfront on where it will be in the marketing (e.g. "Exclusively on Disney+!"). However we've had an announcement, 2 trailers, lots of hype and absolutely nothing about where we can watch it. Personal schizo theory: I think they made the show before finding a platform for it hoping someone would pick it up. They still may be in negotiations with streaming services right now as I type. The recent trailer from December may have been released to help show that there is an audience willing to watch the show (I know I am, this is the first time I've been hyped to watch a series in over a decade)

Why the UE5 upgrade??? Maybe they are worried about the changes they made for Ark 2 trying to keep people playing Ark 1. IDK but it makes me worry for the future of Ark i do hope im wrong.

It is strange why a studio would make a remastered version of there old game, while they plan to sell a new game. One theory could be that the moders would not upgrade there mods. But spend time on making new ones for the new game. Hence make gamers to follow the moders. Another theory could be, they do not want to have to do support on two different engines, so experience and knowledge on one engine, is used on two games. And if any have other teroies, I would like to hear them. BTW: I "moders" the right word? Autocorrect seems to have no idea. :)

ARK2 has been announced way too early, and I'll die on that hill :P The lack of information is annoying in huge part because the few times we hear about the future of the franchise, it's just empty teasing : "big things are coming !". And when people, understandably, come up with theories, it backfires almost every time, because everyone is going to get a different idea of what WildCard's teasing. Just like the crypt-oh panic(s), just like the misfires around the UE5 port, just like everything, the more they tease, the more people are annoyed or downright disappointed later. Even if (ha ! "if") the game is not ready to release this year, and frankly I'm fine with that, I don't understand why they don't have a PR plan in place to keep the momentum going, instead of counting on various misdirections (new SOTF, UE5 version, etc.) to keep us relatively calm,. At this point the lack of communication around what was supposed to be the big event is hard to hide. If they want to run with the big dogs and pretend they're AAA, they're gonna have to do a bit better than that PR-wise. At some point people will stop being frustrated, and just move on to another game that's actually delivering something.

Ark 2 is going to be done this year well at least microsoft told that but I think it's going to be next. The animated series ark 1 in UE 5 ark 2

Ark 2 won't be out until next year (at the earliest) though possibly this year but it will spend 6 months to a year in "early access" and be an absolutely mess. It will probably be generally shit for at least 2 years. Since they've announced the animated series 2 years ago? They've yet to announce a distributor. That's telling. The series is probably not close to being finished, or is so bad that no one will pay what WCS is asking. And in a world with a million and one streaming services that all just need content, that's an oof UE5 might help the game. Obviously better graphics is nice. But I really worry about what bs will pop up as a result of cramming the Ark code into a new engine. The game couldn't even handle going from last gen consoles to this gen. My expectations are low. Just my 2cents that no one asked for. You're welcome

Are people exited for Survival or the Fittest? That's great if they are. If I wanted to play that kind of game I would download Fortnite.
