How do you explain things better in less than 10 minutes than people making 20-30 minute vids? Lol I’d still be lost I think on breeding if it wasn’t for you.. I had spent days watching multiple 45 min to an hour long(sometimes even longer) videos and only came out more confused…. I stumbled across your 20 min in-depth mutation stacking guide and EVERYTHING made sense all of a sudden. 🤯 You did more for me in 20 minutes than hours spent watching others try to explain breeding in-depth.. You’re so exact and to the point!! A+ 💯 !!

[edit]: the mod now works without the dlc as intended. A free mod is being made to access the trait without the dlc. It's called "Better traits". Currently it's not working without the dlc but the dev wrote a comment saying that he'll fix it very soon.

From what I've seen in your video and Syntac's, I think this is a neat evolution of mutations and breeding in the game. Pay wall problem aside, I like that it adds more aspects to the game. I think it'd be better if you had to get different traits from different kinds of dinosaurs (bravery from yuti, melee from rex, defense from turtle, etc). To make the dino you want, you'd need to tame or at least extract from other breeds, some of which can be challenging or from different parts of a map. Thanks for your content.
@TiiaAurora2 ай бұрын
I think the problem in this is that you could only do this on maps were those dinos are also available. That might cause a too big of a headache. So this randomizing is probably better.

FINALLY! A reason to continue taming dino's after we have hit 362. This was the main reason i burned out, no more dino's to tame other than maybe doing solids but that is very tedious >.

Yooo, this video is so good, 37% mutation chance O-O thats insane, is the calculator still being worked on? I'd almost wanna pay for a mutable traits calculator
@mattmas8640Ай бұрын
Do you have a calculator yet? I am wondering the statistical odds of getting a mutation based in that stat based on the tier. It is typically a 1 in 6 chance of getting mutation in your stat without traits. This is what I am referencing: “its mutations have an extra chance to apply to its XXXX stat”. Typically the odds without traits are as follows: 7.31% chance of getting mutation when both male and female gene are less than 20 in mutation counter 1 in 6 chance when you get mutation that the mutation goes towards the right stat. 55% chance your mutation stat doesn’t drop off when you breed with clean females (takes the female original stat) Which means roughly 1 in 150 eggs will have mutation

What we found out when you want to let say mutate health, heaving 3 mutable health and 2 robust would be the best.

Wait, how did you get a 37% chance? Wouldn't it be 19% with 6 mutable traits?
@jakubnocun2858Ай бұрын
I am wondering that too, considering base 7% chance + 6x2% = 19%, and even if previously it was 3% per tier 3 trait that would be 25%. Unless this is based on actual mutation per baby litter data.

Could this screw you over if you don't have the dlc and don't know about the traits? Like I just bred a boss army for the island. If one of my dinos i was using for breeding had a trait that was bad for bosses and i had no way of knowing without the dlc couldn't it have passed it to every dino i bred?
@TiiaAurora2 ай бұрын
Traits cant be passed to babies by breeding. So at best your initial tamed dinos would have had them.
@snakemaster2542 ай бұрын
@@TiiaAurorayeah it makes sense in that regard, though it would be nice if traits could be bred so that you can still interact with traits without the gene scanner, though that would allow you to make infinite copies of a specific trait so I can see the problem with that.

Honestly, the games been re-released for how many months now? People complaining about pay-to-win...have you really not made an extra 30 bucks in that time that you can put towards buying the dlc? next update: paid traits
@YakmonSaysItLikeItIsАй бұрын
In my opinion many players are entitled and lazy. 1.) Entitled because they feel they should not have to pay for the new content when developers worked hard to provide this. In this world we get paid to work. Nobody likes to work for free, including developers. Plus the game is already free on game pass(xbox). 2.) Lazy because the asking price for the new content is not high. If one has a job that pays minimum wage the dlc is affordable in less than half a days work. Super easy and super affordable. Get a clue people. And a job!
@llbrancoАй бұрын
@@YakmonSaysItLikeItIs I agree with paid content, as long as it doesn't include "pay-to-win" mechanics. At the same time, it doesn't matter if it's free on Game Pass; there are other platforms like PSN and Steam, so it's NOT FREE. Numerous games that are TOTALLY FREE-TO-PLAY thrive better, without pay-to-win mechanics, selling skins, cosmetics, appearances, and things that do NOT AFFECT GAME MECHANICS OR EXPERIENCE. Fortnite, Valorant, Rocket League, CS2, Apex, Once Human, Farlight 84 etc. All game mechanics and features are FREE, and they profit from items that do NOT CREATE IMBALANCE. In other words: if you don't pay, you can have the SAME EXPERIENCE as someone who did pay (just with less flair and fewer skins). Facts: Scores, numbers of active players, reviews, and comments on all platforms reflect the opposite of what you defend... but if you prefer to pay for something that should be free, it's your money!
