Simple adjustment is to have far fewer minutes with ANT guarding Kyrie... Not sure if this means Conley starting on Kyrie. It might mean a lot more NAW minutes. It also might mean Monte Morris needs to see the lineup. Morris might actually be the best guy to throw at Kyrie defensively

Fun fact. Teams are 0-14 after playing a Game 7 VS a team that didn't. That stat is good for us. It means it's not surprising that we lost. It is surprising that we led most of the game and almost won though.

It makes no difference whether we played at home or away when the last 15 teams in this scenario lost (whether at home or away, it makes no difference). It just goes to show that it's not surprising to lose Game 1 after a grueling 7 game series like that. Probably earn more so against the defending champs.

I think it can be an honest assessment while at the same time not a valid excuse for a loss. Everyone’s tired, Luka is nursing multiple injuries. Some of the Wolves players themselves said fatigue is not a valid excuse. I agree you can adjust for it, and I think that’s what they’ll need to do. It starts with getting Ant off of Kyrie. If not for the entire game at least a handful of possessions here or there to keep him fresh on offense.

Dallas is the better team, they have 2 of the 3 best plasters in the series and right now they have the 2 best players in the series and Dallas is showing they are way more clutch, Dallas in 5 I could see Minnesota winning game 3 or 4 but I do t think they can win both and at that point series is pretty much over, the most concerning thing for Minnesota is your having your role players play great but the stats aren’t, you can rely on Naz Reid to hit 7 3’s game in and game out, Mavs in 5

Ant was not even full throttle. If he can match Kyrie’s energy in driving, and other adjustments are made they have a good chance in winning. Both teams can win but this series is more about consistency. That is where I feel the Mavs have leverage.

I agree with your sentiments. I don't see a lot changing unless they blitz Kyrie and Luka a lot more, but if they do that, then the Wolves are bailing on the defensive philosophy that got them to this point. Both teams have really good defenses, but only Dallas has Luka to dissect it. Mavs in 6.
