I mean there's a reason they were so dominant at Spa during the wet qualifying, they still have a great car. They just need to fix the balance

Is a great car but just when they find balance, that means once per 2 months. McLaren is the best car, Norris must win or it will be a giant deception. I mean, even if he wins, since Miami he could only aproach 1 point on Verstappen in a slower car… that is sad, and must be hard to swallow as a Norris fanboy.

Great episode. I wonder if MCL will deploy that floor they have in waiting. It could be a “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” situation. As controversial as this sounds, I’d really like to see Max win another race or two this year. I hate seeing him stymied by this car

I think the upgrades will be small. Red Bull have publicly said that they didn't have enough money to bring order changing upgrades, Ferrari are undermining the upgrades that they are bringing, and when even Ferrari and the Italian media undermine them you know they will be relatively small. McLaren don't particularly have many reasons to bring major major upgrades as they'd be better off just focusing the money they've saved from few collisions on 2025, and Merc might aswell try one last upgrade for the season before going into full 2025 focus. We need to realise that the upgrades teams are bringing are minor, they'll bring a flexi front wing and then experimental upgrades for 2025.

I guess the on thing we can Thank the FIA for is this cost cap era. We can actually see teams carefully upgrade their car compared to the 2020 season and the seasons before that. Gonna be interesting to see how Red Bull bounce back. I saw that they are second in the destructors with 5 Million + Dollars worth of damage. I hope their upgrades actually make the car faster and with the resurfaced track in COTA, this could be another Monza.

Yeah the cost cap and the regs have actually worked in bringing the field incredibly close together. It just took a bit of time

It is going to be an exciting rest of the season with the battle for the title! I also cant wait to see how Liam Lawson does in the RB and who will fill the remaining 2 seats at RB/ Sauber next year. James Vowles was on Beyond the Grid last week and he rated his 2025 lineup of Sainz ans Albon as the best on the grid. I feel that is a bit biased from TP but I drfi itely agree it will be a strong and experienced lineup to push Williams along. I think this may give Alex some confidence as external people are saying he will be thrashed by Carlos. That is not the confidence Alex needs going into thr new season. If the team principal is hopeful for both drivers then that should gice Alex some confidence. I really hope Colpainto ends up on the grid soemwhere in 2025 but options are limited with Sauber being the only realistic option. I hope he can get one

Yeah seems like Colapinto can only hope on sauber which is looking unlikely sadly despite the fact he deserves it

I feel he was 3 months too late in coming in to f1 as June/July was when the driver market was crazy but James is in negotiations with Suaber to see if they can gice Colapinto a drive. Next year will be a big year for Alex as Carlos's teammate but I am sure he will do alright as they are both solid drivers and while I am 99%sure Carlos will be the lead driver, Alex is capable of being up there to score points. James really rates both Carlos and Alex 😊

I don't think Mercedes is very far behind the top 3 teams at all. Their car is strong at high-speed tracks, and recently we haven't seen much of that. Around tracks like Interlagos and Qatar, I'm expecting to see Russell and Hamilton fighting for the podium. Meanwhile, Ferrari probably won't be too quick around those tracks because we don't know if they've fixed their high-speed cornering problem yet. I'm saying this as a Ferrari fan 😂😅
