i dont really think investments and talent is the problem in indian football , nor can you complain about the lack of support , there is plenty of support for football in india , and most of the genz follow football ( especially western clubs and teams ). For Japan football is the priority as it massively promotes their positive reputation globally since football is watched everywhere on Earth. For example check youtube video: "Japan fans clean up after football world cup". Every countries news media including India was discussing this and promoting positive image of Japan and its people and this is the global power of football. India needs to be smart and promote football similarly. If India qualifies for football world cup, our global positive reputation will get a massive boost. But unfortunately due to private interests in cricket to make money from Indian public, no other sport will be promoted in India as it will reduce crickets revenue.
