Yes dude. The strawberries at the average grocery store are an insult to actual strawberries.

Wild blueberries are the best, much better than store-bought. I work as an exploration geologist prospecting for an upcoming mine, and most of my work is hiking around outdoors collecting samples and running drill programs. One of the perks is being able to constantly snack on the wild berries, when blueberries or raspberries are in season I'll often be eating pounds of them per day. Oddly enough, they help tell us where the good gold ore bodies are, since they love the acidic rock and soil that comes from sulfide rich ore deposits, the ones above the ore are always bigger and sweeter.

good point man, lemon juice keeps guacamole green and keeps apples from getting brown. I bet strawberries would still go south, even with a bath, but I'll try it.

I love fresh blueberries with Greek yogurt and fresh strawberries 😍😋🫐Thanks for the tips to help them keep from getting mold.

There used to be a woods in my neighborhood growing up. We went adventuring as always, this one time though we found a berry bush. It was that day I learned red or blue is good, green will make you vomit! Now I can only eat blueberries in pop tarts 😅

I love blueberries.. I just froze 3 pints on Tuesday. Gonna try the citric acid bath instead of the lemon wash, I'm sure it will make a big difference. Thanks! 😁

My grandmother used to take us kids out picking wild blueberries. She'd give us each a small container and one big plastic 4 cup measuring cup for us to fill. She would tell us to fill it up to the 4 cup line so she could bake us a pie for that night's desert, and if we wanted blueberry muffins for breakfast the next day to fill it all the way to the top. After we got the measuring cup filled to the top anything we picked was fair game. We always filled it to the top because who doesn't want warm, fresh baked, wild blueberry muffins (and/or blueberry pancakes occasionally) for breakfast?

Store them in a mason jar in the fridge and you’ll get at least 6 weeks. I normally get a couple months out of ours

Hi Matt, new subscriber here...great tips, thanks - I have been cleaning my blueberries incorrectly. I heard once that you should always eat at least three at a time because of the different tart/sweet levels! :D

I grew up in rural New Zealand. Our house was on a small farm up the side of what was basically a mountain. There were wild berry bushes growing about halfway up. Absolutely delicious. There was also a freshwater underground spring right near it.

Well that sounds like a dream. Are you still there ??

Wild strawberries taste so much better, I had a massive bush growing up, we just had to get the them before the deer.

We had awesome raspberry bushes that produced flavorable berries without a ton of seeds! Disease came in and killed all the canes. I’ve never found that variety since and now I don’t eat raspberries at all!
