Regarding how beautiful hearing the recitation is - when I visited Egypt years ago, I hated hearing the calls to prayer. It was harsh, abrasive, intrusive, and ugly. I didn’t even know much about Islam at the time, but it seems to me now that I correctly interpreted/understood the heart of it as just described and was repelled by it.

@@PhantommJ Oh man, hang on in there. It's not easy for you our brothers there in Egypt. I saw that video from 10 years ago if thousands of Egyptian Coptic Christians chanting "Yeshua! Yeshua!" for ten minutes straight... It was unbelievable. Powerful. I loved it. For those interested you can find videos on ytube of a huge Christian gathering that took place in Egypt about 10-11 years ago. And among them is one 10 minutes long where the gathered crowd shouts "Yeshua! Yeshua!Yeshua!" for 10 minutes without stopping. You can see the people on stage, the priests, musicians, and the choir members, starting to have tears after 5-6 minutes when they realized the people will not stop any time soon... They waited 10 minutes on stage, listening to the crowd's chanting, before they could continue their program... Mind-blowing.

Reading this could it not be said that a cpmpanion or momo hears a jew reciting the torah in arabic. Hearing that it shows momo to be a lier and instead of questioning momo on his view recitation and revelation instead blames the jew for corrupting what was written even though he did not read it. Are we to assum that all the companions new the torah and gospel by heart as well so they could state with certainty it was being recited incorrectly as it went against momo teaching. Yet haddith state that the companions forgot verses even momo. If they were excellent at remembering the reciting of the koran why wss it so difficult to compile the koran after al yamamma and why the dissagreements with the uthman codex. Islamic Dilemma is pretty strong. For me work 4 arguments: 1. How come that not even 1 page from the original Tanakh or Torah or Injeel was preserved? 2. How come that nobody, except the Muslims, claim that our scriptures have been corrupted? 3. There was one response from the koran which is valid. It doesnt stop the dilema but it explains why the koran is different. It states that this is the book for the arabs. So therefore only the arabs should follow it. The problem with this is that mohammed then went out and changed the message saying it was one for the world. Why because jesus's church spread to arabia and beyond even though according to the koran it was only ment for the jews. Indeed if you look at it this way allah is a child playing cops and robbers. The only problem is the koran is the rule book for the police and to be that it has to explain why what other religions are wrong. Where as other religions concentrate solely on the relationship between god and humanity.

The true faith from a liar is a lie and therefore never the true faith, making Islam true from lies and false from lies. Dilemma 6 - Allah is the greatest of deceivers comparable to the great deceiver, Satan. If Allah is not Satan, but is more deceptive than Satan, Allah is greater than Satan as God and worse than Satan as the greatest of deceivers. Allah is therefore, the greatest being and the worst being had together.

@@E_PluribusUnum Aramaic ( jesus language ) Aramaic is closer in form and grammar to Hebrew than it is to Arabic. And they have different roots too. Aramaic is a Semitic language, while Arabic is a Central Semitic language. This means that Aramaic has more in common with Hebrew and Amharic than with Arabic.

I'll start by saying I'm not Islamic. According to Christians, the Gospel gazumps the Torah (and most Jewish law---I believe there are some Christian denominations that follow Kosher laws), so why can't the Quran simply gazump the Gospel?

No one is saying there can't be different covenants. In the Bible, there are many covenants. You're referring to the Mosaic Covenant and the New Covenant. That has nothing to do with the Islamic Dilemma. We're not simply claiming that the Quran has different rules as part of a different covenant. The Quran has fundamentally different teachings about God, Jesus, history, etc. But the Quran also claims that the previous scriptures are from God and cannot be corrupted.

The Gospel claims to be a successor to the Torah without any need to claim that the Torah is corrupted. Christianity adopted the Jewish scriptures into their canon, made thousands of copies in Greek, Latin, Aramaic and never once claimed corruption by the Jews. Islam/Quran claims to be a successor to the Torah and Gospel, but cannot do so without claiming corruption of BOTH of these. Can you explain how did thousands (estimated 1000-2000 at the time of Muhammed) of these copies get corrupted across geographic locations and we have ZERO evidence for this? After the time of Muhammed, the copies grew to 10,000+ and still no evidence of corruption. Muslims like every other false religion/prophet never explain WHEN corruption occurred, and never provide any evidence.

Technically, I think it's a mutual contradiction not a dilemma because the Quran can't both be and not be, the Word of God🙂 Further, there is only one outcome: "Islam is false", for a dilemma you need at least two outcomes to choose from. @@dggeers I believe people state it as a dilemma, because Muslims can either accept or reject that the Koran affirms the preservation of the Injeel and the Taurat. If they accept that interpretation, then the Koran cites texts that are in open contradiction with Islam. If they reject it, then the Koran cites corrupted and even polytheistic texts to support its own claims. Both of which are extremely problematic.
