I get absolutely battered using any two striker formation this year. 4222 was always my go to in previous seasons. I hate this new tactics system

I also watched Boras using this formation and had a play around with it. If you put one of the CAM's on SS and the other on playmaker build up, they line up behind eachother. I set my forwards on advanced complete so they go wider and there's more room for the SS to bomb through gaps. Depth is 50 but with counter attack. DLP on both CDM's. Very fluid.

I play something similar with shadow striker behind advanced forward complete, and the other striker is on advanced forward attack with playmaker behind him. One cdm on dlp (the one behind shadow striker) and the other one on holding. One fullback (opposite to wide striker) on wingback to give width. It's very fluent and confuse opponents becouse all of the sudden there is 2 players to recycle the ball (playmaker and dlp), 2 attackers (striker and ss) and two wider players (striker complete and wingback). It's a bit open defensively, especially for counterattack, but after the patch it's all about to outscore your opponent anyway.

I have been playing about a month, this was my third Fut champs and I have gone 9-6 every time. I used 4-2-2-2 this week and at times it feels great, but I don't have good enough strikers for it, especially not two of them. I have changed to the 4-2-3-1 (3 CAM's), basically works as a 4-2-1-3 but I don't have anyone who can play LW that I like, so this works a bit better for me.

You are lifesaver bro. I been playing ultimate teams rivals for the past 2 weeks. It's been hard to rank up especially going against teams full of galacticos. Been stuck in Div 5 for some time, but this 4222 formation managed to get me to Div 4. Not bad, considering I didn't spend at all😂

4222 is pretty flexible. I've been using it all year with an attacking LWB and a half winger RAM so it becomes more of a 325 in attack.

would you use Zidane at LAM and Palmer at RAM or the other way around? Ideally you want strong foot on the same side but Palmer has finesse+

What is the reason a formation like 4222 is better than 4231 or 4411 against 4213?

you have more passing options in the middle, your cam isnt isolated against opponents cdms, 4411 is a good formation too which i still use sometimes against certain opponents
