Ralph, you were most fortunate to have a mentor in the field. And now as a result, we are fortunate to have you. Mentoring is so easily overlooked and yet it is almost essential to development and mastering of a subject. THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge!

Thank you for your time and effort! Many people may have the knowledge, but not many people have the ability to relay it to other people, in such an easy going and easy to understand way! You are doing an amazing job!

Congratulations, Ralph, on creating a carefully explained, step by step guide to electronics for the interested amateur. Although I have an electrical engineering degree myself, I love watching good teachers teach engineering, and you patiently keep a steady pace but keep the subject interesting also. A great resource for students. Good work!

Hello Ralph. You sound like me. I got interested in electronics in high school in my senior year. Went to an electronic tech. school, military, then to college then industry, space program then on to microwave radios. I am now retired. My hobby is electronics and astronomy. I built many a radio and tube amplifiers, ( no output transformer). Designed my stereo amp. I have designed my own test equipment, P.S., RF and AF, scopes and a spectrum analyzer (0 to 200Mhz )

Finding your channel one more puzzle piece fell in place...you sir are helping the picture come into focus...I listened to your Bio and my ears perked up at the mention of PEMAL,that course was being tought at LOWERY AFB in 83!!! Myself, I was learning WCS on F4Es at the other end of the base...

I am so glad that these videos are helping that process. Me? I am re-learning all of this and it has been so much fun! Too bad Lowery is all shut down now. Some really good memories there. I think there might be a museum in one of the old hangers??? My first and only permanent party base, Pease AFB is also shut down. SAC no longer exists anywhere. I think part of what was Pease AFB is Air National Guard or something??

Right you are, a museum there now, I did visit a few years back "memory lane" They also fully restored P38 Lockheed lightnings in a nearby hanger. One of my all time favorites!!! Sad I missed out on it's flight the next day...speaking of must see museums, the Curtis museum must be close to you if you live in central New York... Best Regards

@@randyanders I live in the mid-west, right next door to the Mississippi these days in my retirement. I certainly do NOT miss the massive amounts of winter snows we got in central NY. We still get winters and snow and cold (I'm a weird one, I like that), but our snow falls are not measured in feet! 🙂

I had same problem finding information and I am also frustrated that when I found something and it lack with details! Doing experimentation on self gives most experience You can get.

Yup! I would find a piece here and another piece there and another piece somewhere else. I had to figure out how the pieces fit together and how to apply the bigger picture I came up with to real life stuff. I am hoping that my videos give enough of the whole picture so my viewers do not have to guess at the rest.
