Wow, what an inspiration, such a genuine, relatable person! Can identify with so much of his journey - that first prayer to Mary, and the amazing outcome. Finding myself subtly defending the Catholic faith - even though I'm not even confirmed yet. Poring over catholic literature in the wee hours of the morning 😅 then writing to Eddie - from South Africa to share my new found discoveries. The excitement is just growing. Hallelujah 🙌 😇

Beautiful testimony! I'm a cradle catholic who absolutely understands what he means by loving catholicism more and more each day, as I learn more about it every single day! 58 years as a catholic and not a day goes by that I don't learn something new and grow more as a catholic!

This was an excellent interview! When I reverted back to our beautiful faith, I had the very same feeling about your comments at the 40 minute mark, I just remember thinking that "I don't need to work at my faith anymore". I just need to show up for Mass. It was like a weight off my shoulders, no longer needing to look for the latest revival movement, no longer needing to join the latest men's group, no longer needing to pour over my bible making sure I wasn't getting tricked by some version or that. Just show up for Mass, listen to and contemplate the days readings, and then consume the Eucharist as Jesus instructed...

Protestant possibly on my way to Catholicism based on what I’ve been finding. Please list some of the resources you used in your journey! I have been going through Scott Hahn’s book and watching some of the On the Journey with Matt and Ken as well. I have been on this journey for a few months now from a Reformed background.

Thanks for sharing, Tyler! Check out Four Witnesses by Rod Bennett, Orthodoxy by GK Chesterton, and Why We're Catholic by Trent Horn. I know there are many resources out there, but these are often referenced by converts and reverts. May God be with you on your journey. Happy Thanksgiving!

Why in the world would you want to become a Catholic, by the grace of God i was able to escape the shackles of Rome after 53 years! Do you know the Gospel of the grace of God? I don't think so, or you wouldn't think about this step!

@@rlrett1 Grace is in the Apostolic church that Christ founded and her sacraments, if you read a few of Augustine's sermons this becomes very apparent. God bless.

Great story. The part about the neighbor lady at the window was especially funny. Glad the bully didn't call Keith's bluff and make him go up to the door. Would have been odd.

Excellent discussion - and Eddie is right - one can listen to the same speaker's story several times: these are genial people - and nourishing stories....

I think there's an ancient expression to explain the good values cordial Catholic was taught growing up, without actually being Christian: anima naturaliter Christiana, "soul naturally Christian." It means that good, decent people are attracted to Christian values.

Fascinating, John! Thanks for sharing that.

Many instances of aberrant applications of spiritual gifts. Prophecy is to be a confirmation of something already shown to you not to be NEW news.
